Loved Again Pets

Loved Again Pets We are a foster based 501c3 group of passionate people focused on saving unwanted pets.

Loved Again Pets is a volunteer based 501c3 animal rescue organization in Lane County, Oregon and the Greater Los Angeles area in Southern California. We pull senior dogs from euthanasia lists in over-populated and high-kill shelters, very often on the day they are scheduled to die. We provide full veterinary care including surgical procedures necessary to bring dogs back to good health. We provid

e foster homes so that these overlooked senior dogs can recover and decompress. When the dogs are ready for adoption, they are networked on social media, through adoption fairs and word-of-mouth to find them loving “furever” homes. Loved Again Pets rescues dogs that many people would assume are unadoptable due to age, medical situation or skittishness and transforms them into dogs that are routinely adopted into loving, permanent homes. We also provide long-term foster care for those dogs who are not adoptable and when necessary, provide hospice care for dogs to spend their last days in a loving home environment.

Monty is still in need of a long term or potentially forever foster.

This sweet little 8 pound boy gets along great with humans, dogs, and lives with cats just fine in his current foster home.

Monty is a total sweetheart, loves to snuggle, and be close to his person. He alao loves to walk on a leash.

Monty takes medication for Cushings Disease and wears belly bands.

The rescue pays for all expenses, medications, vet visits, bed, etc.

If you live in the Lane or Douglas Counties of Oregon and would like to learn more about Monty, please send us a message.

Monty is looking for a long-term foster.

Monty’s status has been on hold while we try to determine his medical status. He has been seeing the internal medicine specialist and has tested positive for Cushings and also an ultrasound has confirmed a fluid filled cyst pushing on his prostate. He also suffers from gastrointestinal upset of an unknown origin.

His Cushings is well controlled with medication and we are still working to control the gastrointestinal upset and options regarding the cyst. Monty takes his medication by setting it in his bowl of food, he just gobbles it right up.

Despite his medical conditions and all of the testing he has had to undergo, Monty is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loving dog. He wears his belly bands like a champ and even on his not so good days he manages to give kisses and loves to snuggle with his person.

Monty is always up for a walk around the block. He prances when he walks and pays no mind at all to other dogs or passerby’s on the walk.

Monty knows how to sit pretty for treats and is highly food motivated.

Monty loves to sleep with his person. He stays put all night, hardly moving a muscle.

Monty does really well with other dogs and lives with cats in his current foster home.

Monty loves to chase shadows and is self-entertaining. He has no separation anxiety but does bark at any noise so an apartment setting would not be best.

Monty’s ideal foster would be someone who is home most the time so his belly bands can be changed out on a regular basis. Also, someone who can take him to vet appointments as needed. We ask that the foster make a long-term commitment to fostering Monty, as he bonds with his foster quite quickly.

As always, the rescue covers all expenses, belly bands, medications, vet visits, dog bed, etc. All you need to do is provide a loving and patient home for a sweet boy who was dealt a not so healthy hand.

Monty is about 5 years old and weighs 8 pounds.

Please send us a message if you believe you are the right person for Monty 💕
