The holiday season is here,
But I'm feeling lonely and drear.
The lights and the cheer,
Only make my sadness more clear.

I see families and friends,
Gathered together, making amends.
But I'm all alone,
With no one to call my own.

I try to put on a smile,
And pretend that I'm fine for a while.
But the emptiness inside,
Is something I cannot hide.

So, I'll light a candle tonight,
And pray for a future that's bright.
For a time when I'll find,
The love and warmth that's been left behind.

Dear Community,
To ALL that are lonely and isolated,
Senior Companions everywhere are thinking of you!
In thought you are not alone!
