Hello all,

We are about to perform surgery on a wonderful kitty named Sav. We believe she was hit by a car yesterday after which she bravely found her way home to her owners who rushed her to us.

She has a long road to recovery; a broken leg, fractures on her head and an eye that needs to be removed. We are confident she can live a long and happy life after her recovery.

If you are able, we are accepting donations to help cover her care. You can call our office at 541-688-1835 and make a credit card payment over the phone. Just tell our team you would like to make a donation for Sav.

We are also accepting well wishes on her care journey. We will update you on her recovery as she heals.

Scammers posing as Lane County Animal Services are preying on pet owners who've shared info about lost pets online. "Dave from Lane County Animal Services" claims your lost pet needs urgent care, demands bank information or payment via an app, and threatens to withhold treatment.

🛑 This is a SCAM! Lane County Animal Services would NEVER:
1️⃣ Demand bank account information, payment via CashApp or similar apps, or gift cards.
2️⃣ Withhold emergency care pending payment.
3️⃣ Contact residents via text without prior arrangement.

Details of the scam:
🕵️ Name: Fake “Dave" from Lane County Animal Services.
📞 Scammer's Caller ID number: 310-596-2186

🚨 HOW TO REPORT:
1️⃣ Contact the FBI at www.ic3.gov to report cybercrime.
2️⃣ For local reports, contact your local law enforcement agency.

Today we are saying farewell (for now) to Dr. Yamada as she starts her maternity leave. We are overjoyed to soon meet the newest addition to our TVH family and will miss her until she returns later this year. We are sending her and her family lots of care, healing and joy during the next few months!

Last week we assumed emergency care for this precious cat, who we lovingly dubbed Tuff Nutt. She fought a good fight with the help of our stellar doctors and staff. Unfortunately, she did not make it. We believe she belonged to someone in our community. While she was not microchipped, it was evident she was cared for. If this was your cat, or you know someone who she belonged to please let us know.
