Andalusian Breeding Ranch and Boarding Stable The name Caballos del Corazón translates roughly to ‘Horses of the Heart’.

This name conveys two equally relevant meanings: ‘horses with a lot of heart’, and ‘horses that reside within one’s heart’. The horses we raise fit both definitions perfectly. Courageous and athletic, they form intense bonds with their owners – bonds which their owners return many times over! Caballos del Corazón is owned and operated by Julie Alonzo, a long-time aficionado of the Andalusian horse

, who has been active in the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) since 1996 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006 and the Presidency in 2008. Our goal is to raise exceptional Andalusian horses through a selective breeding program, where we pair champion mares and stallions that meet the requirements for breeding-quality stock established centuries ago in Spain and nurture the resulting foals into healthy, well-adjusted life partners. Our horses compete in open and IALHA Class A competitions; they excel at disciplines requiring athleticism and performance ability; they are family companions of the highest caliber. Each year, we offer a select number of horses for sale and seek always to find a true partnership between horse and potential future owner. For us, it’s not about closing a sale quickly; it’s about making a match with the potential to last a lifetime. CDC Vindicación (CDC Memoria x Reindance's Cheval Canadien Stallion: Metístar Taj-Mahal AMARO), Introductory level. I think this is Vinnie's fourth show. She was really fussy with her head today, but stayed with me throughout her test. I'm pleased.

The best gifts in life are the memories of laughter shared, the beauty all around us, and the bonds of love and friendship.

I have been so very blessed with amazing friends, opportunities to explore far horizons, and an amazing family.

Although I miss deeply those who have gone before, I feel their presence still and know the connection is still there.

Memoria was in a great mood for today’s trail ride with Bridgett Klingler and Amante. Ears forward and delighted to step out all 9.4 miles of steep hills.

She’s tired now, but I think Amante might be feeling it a little more, poor tyke!

Our lovely CDC Corazón, owned by Karin Hansen, and expertly piloted by Mark Mason, one of our dear friends from Australia, at the 2022 El Campeón Farm Working Equitation Summer show in Thousand Oaks, CA.

The two received a 62.5% in their Novice A dressage test under WAWE judge António Vicente, from Portugal.

Today, we celebrate one of the greatest achievements a North American Andalusian breeder can attain: CDC Pacifica (Odalisca GF x Hilandero X) is the 2021 IALHA National Champion Senior Mare.

Erica Peet led her in for her initial trot presentation, and Howard Peet presented her in front of the judges. This title is one Pacifica's full sister (CDC Memoria) came close to winning twice (she was twice Reserve National Champion Senior Mare), but today Pacifica carries home the top honors.

Pacifica got her name because her mom was newly-pregnant with her when she and I covered 281 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail together, leading a pair of pack horses to carry supplies for some friends of mine who were hiking the southern Oregon section of the trail. Lisca was a challenging horse as a yongster, but as a mature mare, she was an incredible trail partner. She carried me (and Pacifica in utero) safely across some incredibly rugged terrain and did so with courage and incredible athleticism.

Huge thanks to Howard and Erica for their hard work. Pacifica will be coming back to Oregon with me, where we'll do a lot of trail riding, spend some time together in the working equitation arena, and perhaps raise some foals, to help carry on her mother and father's -- and now her own! -- legacy.

RL Duchesa has also been confirmed in foal to Reindance's Cheval Canadien Stallion: Metístar Taj-Mahal AMARO for a June 2022 foal!

We have great expectations for this full sibling to CDC Amante (pictured here), beloved by owners Bridgett and Mark Klingler.

This foal will be available for purchase, with priority given to a performance / show home.

We're delighted to announce that our Pure Spanish Andalusian mare Cali has been confirmed in foal to Reindance's Cheval Canadien Stallion: Metístar Taj-Mahal AMARO for a foal due between June 26 and July 11, 2022.

Cali is a tall, elegant, and kind mare, from our friend Sally Handley in B.C., Canada.

This foal will be available to a suitable home (with preference given to a show home).

We’ve been focusing our breeding program for the past eight or so years on creating competitive working equitation horses. It sure is a good feeling to see evidence that the goal is being achieved! Mid-season National Leaderboard standings for CDC horses.
