Friends, we’ve got the BEST news!!

Bernie’s latest PCR test came back NEGATIVE — that’s right, our little man officially kicked distemper’s butt! 😭💪🏼🙌🏼

We are absolutely overjoyed to share this incredible update with you after what has been a challenging month. Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve run one final PCR test just to confirm, and we’ll have those results in a couple of days. But for now, we’re celebrating Bernie’s resilience and recovery!

This sweet boy has been such a trooper through it all and is so ready to find his forever family. Despite the isolation he’s had to endure, Bernie has remained a well balanced, smart, and incredibly trainable. He’s proven to be the kind of dog who will make an amazing companion for a very lucky person (or family!).

This weekend, our Eugene Animal Hospital family traded scrubs for snow boots and spent the day bonding, laughing, and enjoying the beauty of winter together. From snowball fights to sledding adventures, it was the perfect way to strengthen our teamwork while making unforgettable memories.
