🎃👻 Trick or treat? Not all Halloween goodies are safe for our furry friends! 🍫🚫 Chocolate, candy wrappers, and candles can pose serious risks.
This October, keep treats out of paw’s reach and decorations pet-friendly!
✅ Bonus tip: opt for LED candles instead of open flames.

🍂 Fall Foods That Can Harm Pets 🐶🐱
Some festive favorites are dangerous—even deadly—for pets! Dogs and cats can't digest certain foods like we can. Keep them safe by avoiding these toxic fall treats:
🚫 Chocolate (especially Halloween candy) – Can cause seizures and fast heart rate.
🚫 Xylitol – Found in sugar-free gum & treats, causes low blood sugar and liver failure in dogs.
🚫 Grapes & Raisins – Even small amounts can cause kidney failure.
🚫 Onions, Garlic, Chives – Harm red blood cells, leading to anemia.
🚫 Nutmeg & Spices – Can trigger tremors or seizures.
🚫 Unbaked Bread Dough – Expands in the stomach and can cause alcohol poisoning.
🚫 Bones & Fat Trimmings – Can splinter or cause painful pancreatitis.

✅ Safer Fall Snacks:
🎃 Plain pumpkin
🥕 Carrots & green beans
🍎 Seedless apples
🍠 Cooked sweet potatoes
🍗 Plain cooked turkey (no skin or seasoning)
Keep treats festive and pet-friendly! 🧡

Regular exercise isn’t just for people — it’s essential for our pets too! Daily activity helps maintain a healthy weight, supports strong muscles and joints, reduces stress, and even improves behaviour.

✅ Dogs: Aim for daily walks, fetch, or agility games.
✅ Cats: Try interactive toys, climbing trees, or short play sessions.
🐶🐱 Active pets are happier, healthier, and live longer — let’s keep those tails wagging and whiskers twitching!

Need ideas for safe activities this fall? We’re happy to help you create the perfect plan for your pet’s age, breed, and health. 🍂💛

🐾⚖️ Is your pet carrying a little extra fluff? While it’s easy to see it as “cute,” excess weight can lead to serious health issues like arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease.

✅ Check for a waistline when looking from above.
✅ Feel their ribs — you should be able to feel them without pressing too hard.
✅ Watch their energy — sluggishness can be a red flag.

If you’re unsure, book a wellness check with us this month. Together, we can create a plan to keep your furry friend fit, healthy, and happy! 🐶🐱🍂
