Good morning everyone, Cheryl here 👋 This post is to formally announce that Dawn will be retiring from grooming at the end of this month 😭💔 I am so sad to see her go, but I know that there are amazing things awaiting her in the near future ♥️ Things definitely wont be the same around here without her, tho 😕

At this time, I do not plan on adding another groomer. I'm not sure if/or when that will change. What does this mean for you guys?

* I will not be offering nail trims or services for cats during the month of June (all dogs in for a bath or clip will get their nails done, just no 'A La Carte' style nail trims) I will make another post towards the end of June regarding cat services going forward, and whether or not I plan to start offering nail trims again. ***I recommend seeing Kayla at The Laundromutt on River Rd for nail trims.

* In order to continue to provide care for all our current clients (My own and any of Dawn's that wish to stay), I will not be accepting new clients for the Summer..possibly longer.

*If you'd like to set up a recurring grooming appointment s you don't have to contact me to set one up each time, I can totally do that. Just let me know if that would work better for you.

As I get through the month of June I will know better what is feasible for this one person to handle without sacrificing quality or feeling burnt out. I do have several cat clients that I know I can safely groom alone, but I have many that I cannot. I'm going to work on a possible solution to that over the next month.

Dawn does still have a handful of appointments open before she officially retires, for those of you who would like to see her one more time ♥️ There is most definitely no one that could ever replace her 🥰

Good morning everyone, this post is from Cheryl. I just want to reach out and update everyone on our current policies, and also talk about what the next few months will likely look like for us. This will probably be a lengthy post, just a heads up.

We will continue to practice check-in and check-out at your vehicle, or outside the door (weather permitting). This doesn't have anything to do with Covid, but rather, because we have found that not having clients inside chatting and talking to the other animals in the salon has *greatly* reduced the stress and anxiety levels for many of the animals we care for. For those of you with animals who are sensitive to traffic noises (or when the weather is poor) we are happy to make accomodations, we'll just need to keep it to one client inside at a time.

Nail trims and other "A La Carte" services and all Cat Grooming will continue to be offered on Thursdays and the 3rd Saturday of the month (by appointment only). Again, this is due to the overwhelming success we have had with lowering stress and anxiety levels for the animals. ***‼️‼️Please note, these are also the only services we are currently able to offer to new clients. At this time we are not accepting new dog clients for full service grooming‼️‼️***

This is a very difficult post to write, and I am having a hard time finding where to start. Dawn and I are unable to accept new full service grooming clients at this time. We LOVE what we do and our clients. We also love how much y'all love and support us and our reviews and the 'word on the street' definitely reflect that ❤️
That being said, 2021 has not been kind to either of us.
A close family member of mine was recently assaulted, and as a survivor myself, I am finding that this has dug up emotions and trauma that I haven't actually healed from yet. Justice was never served in my case, and the fight for justice in this case is incredibly emotional and stressful (understatement of a lifetime). Last week, all of the stress and anxiety wound up making me very physically sick. I just can't continue at this pace.

Ultimately, in order for us to continue to provide the same standard of care for you all, we have to slow down and be kinder to ourselves. I will need to have some kind of flexibility in my schedule as we move toward a trial date, and I cannot manage that if we are booked out several weeks in advance here in the salon. Also, to be honest, some days are still really rough and I cry a LOT. We work on live animals that feel and react to our emotions, and it's not always possible to check those things at the door when your shift starts.

I'm sorry for the long-winded post. I felt it was important to explain at least in part what the reasoning is for our current policies. Thank you so much for always being so wonderful and supportive, and for trusting us to care for your babies. It truly is an honor ❤️

Yesterday was a crazy day in the salon...the hair was flying!! This was even after a bit of cleaning...it took a minute to get everything back in order...haha

Cuteness overload coming in!! We make really weird noises to get the dog's attention when we're trying to get pictures. We got a great shot of Bisou here, then this happened 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
