Happy December everyone!☃️

This month is especially special because it is Cat Lover’s Month!🐱 Here is an important cat-care tip to keep in mind:

Cats require daily pet-sitting visits when their owners are out of town. Although our beloved cats are very independent creatures, it’s important to understand that even if you leave extra food and water, your cat still needs to be checked on at least once per day!

It is important to check on any pet daily and this includes cats! They require just as much care as any other pet, and we want to help make sure your cats feel loved and appreciated on the daily!

December is a very busy month, so we would like to help eliminate some of that stress for our wonderful clients! Make sure to book your cat visits during your travels this holiday season using the link in our bio!

Hi there! We are Walking Sitters, a pet care company located in Eugene and Springfield! We are so excited to begin sharing all sorts of content about what we do, tips and tricks, and all things pets!

For our first post, we wanted to share some tips about ensuring your pets safety during Thanksgiving! These tips were shared by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Thanksgiving safety tips include 🐾:

1. When feeding your pet a small bite of turkey or other meat, make sure it is boneless and fully cooked. If uncooked, the meat may contain salmonella bacteria, and poultry bones may cause choking hazards.

2. Don’t let them eat cake or any dessert that contains raw eggs, as it may contain salmonella bacteria.

3. Give them small portions of food, although it might be tough to deny the puppy eyes.

Here are just a few helpful tips to make sure that this holiday is comfortable and fun for everyone in the household, including your pets!🐕🐈

Great review from Nici... "Tamal has made my Sonny feel like a part of the family. My dog gets along with all the pets there and is happy to go in and seems very comfortable. Tamal's house is a home, and Sonny needs to feel that comfort. Sonny has had challenges being a rescue, and I didn't want to put him in a commercial day care or boarding. So this gives me such peace of mind and I highly recommend his services. He also does drop in for my cats. They are dependable and easy to work with, they communicate well, and they have reasonable prices. We are very thankful for them🥰"

They really monitor everything and are super thorough. Plus my cat is usually sus with strangers but loved Jennifer. Really glad I have them to watch my cat for any upcoming trips."

Great review from Mia... "Tamal’s team is just wonderful, I can’t recommend this company enough. If you even bring up the word “dog” in conversation with me, I’m probably already halfway through my spiel on just how amazing this service is. Jennifer and Emily are both so great with my handful of a pup, and he’s obsessed with them (he runs to the door when I even mention one of their names). I’m just as obsessed. It’s nice to know he’s had his adventure and exercise for the afternoon while I’m locked away in my office… the fact that I get a daily update with photos included is icing on the cake. 20/10 recommend!"

Great review from Casey... "Walking Sitters (and specifically our sitter, Jenny) was fantastic all-around! Tamar, who is wonderful, was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and set up a visit to establish my “kittos” daily regimen. He took notes and was super thorough and attentive to every little detail that I shared. I especially loved the online portal where I was able to easily add personal specifics for both of my cats and also easily pay my invoice. And most of all, I LOVED that I was able to chat with our sitter each day that she was visiting our sweet girls— she sent a detailed log plus photos, and I felt so comfortable knowing that our girls were being seen by such caring and kind individuals. We will certainly use WS again the next time we venture out of town— 10/10 and two thumbs/paws up!"
