Great review from Lindsay... "We had never left our boys with strangers before and now our minds are finally at ease that we can travel when we need to and they will be safe and taken care of the entire time. For anyone nervous about using a service vs friends or family, I was so impressed. They will grab your mail for you when they come in. You pick the amount of time you want them to spend with them. They take pictures and provide progress notes every single day. Everything was consistent and the very first day we got updates our minds were at ease. We will absolutely be using this service again and I highly recommend them."

September is National Disaster Preparedness Month, and it's vital to make sure your pet is considered in your disaster plan! While no one is ever 100 percent ready for a disaster, a good plan can make a huge difference if it’s thorough and flexible.

Keep these tips in mind:

Understand the possibilities.
Recognize the different types of natural and man-made disasters that can occur in your area and know how to effectively plan for them.

Plan your response.
Different disasters require different courses of action. The sooner you create a disaster plan, the more time you have to prepare.

Update identification.
Make sure your pet wears current identification at all times that includes his name, rabies tag and your cell phone number since you will not be at home.

Keep your pet’s records handy.
Create a file for each pet that contains health history, vaccination dates and a recent photo. Keep the file in a safe and secure place.

Research animal-friendly places.
If a disaster forces you to evacuate, the best thing you can do to protect your pets is to evacuate them as well. Know where you can take your pet in the event of an emergency. Evacuation shelters and pet-friendly hotels outside a 60-mile radius of your home are good places to start.

Stock up on emergency supplies.
Keep extra leashes, bowls, newspapers, trash bags, cat litter, litter pans and at least a five-day supply of pet food and water on hand. Be sure you have a pet first aid kit as well.

Get a carrier.
Have a properly-sized pet carrier for each pet. Carriers should be large enough for the pet to stand up, turn around and lie down comfortably.

Communicate your plan.
Make sure that the other people you rely on for your pet’s care, like your pet sitter, are privy to your specific pet-care plan in case you are away from home when a disaster strikes.

Today is Pet Fire Safety Day.

Did you know that household pets are responsible for more than 1,000 house fires each year in the United States alone? (Source: National Fire Protection Association)

As a pet parent, you need to look carefully throughout your home to ensure you are not unknowingly giving your pets access to items that could result in a fire.

One culprit? Electrical cords. In addition to posing an electrocution danger, electrical cords can also short out and start a fire after being chewed on by pets. Fireplaces, candles and stove k***s (accidentally turned on by pets) can also pose a fire danger.

Happy December everyone!☃️

This month is especially special because it is Cat Lover’s Month!🐱 Here is an important cat-care tip to keep in mind:

Cats require daily pet-sitting visits when their owners are out of town. Although our beloved cats are very independent creatures, it’s important to understand that even if you leave extra food and water, your cat still needs to be checked on at least once per day!

It is important to check on any pet daily and this includes cats! They require just as much care as any other pet, and we want to help make sure your cats feel loved and appreciated on the daily!

December is a very busy month, so we would like to help eliminate some of that stress for our wonderful clients! Make sure to book your cat visits during your travels this holiday season using the link in our bio!

Safe traveling everyone!🐾❄️
