I know I have enough information to post this but my goal was to just pause breeding until we got our foot in the door as foster parents and felt confident in having more than one kid but one of my foster boys has had chronic health issues and I will be pausing breathing for as long as he is with me or at least until I can get a better grasp at caring for his needs and I will continue breathing as soon as I can. I do not want to quit I am just passing until we get little man taken care of.

I do have Mr Wasabi here for pet home rehoming! He is a sweet little man but took after his uncle and does not want to be a ladies man 😂 Looking got a home where he can just eat all your food and steal your blankets lol

Katsu is being pet homed due to not having any interest in the boys and not taking in time, she turns 1 in a couple of days! If you are interested in her please let me know!

Current breeding herd here at Southern Spike 😊 I had other hedgehogs in my herd who’ve i recently pet homed so that i can work on pedigrees.

After this potential litter with Katsu and Wasabi we will be pausing breeding until around September. During our break my household will be getting settled in our new role as foster parents and I will be working on getting more herd members with better pedigrees. 😃

I definitely need to take updated herd photos with these two but I wanted to make a post! Wasabi and Katsu were paired on the 13th of this month and hopefully will have a litter between May 18th-25th!! I am super excited to see how this pairing turns out!

With going 6 gens back they had a COI of only 0.098 so i’m super excited about that! 😊

Haruna is the last baby from these past two litters that is still available! She is a sweet girl her birthday is 1/4/22 ❤️

Hermes is a chonky man who’s birthday is 11/7/20. Hermes is a man who’s love language is food 😂 he is definitely a cutie but isn’t the most social hedgie so he would need to go to someone who knows how to handle hedgies.

Babies!! All babies are doing great! The baby under eve’s litter labeled foster is her baby that is currently being fostered by Sushi ❤️

Just a baby update (photo taken by the nest cam)

Eve who had 6 babies decided that she couldn’t take care of them all so she kept booting one of the babies out of the nest. After multiple attempts to try to return the baby to her (she would move the whole hut and other babies away from this baby) I decided that it was best to foster the baby over to Sushi.

Immediately after putting the baby into sushi’s bin (I hadn’t even put it near her hut yet) she ran out, grabbed the baby and took it in her hut after she heard it cry. The baby has been with Sushi for about 4 days now and is being well taken care of by her ❤️

Sushi had her babies today with a total of 5! That means between both litters there are 11 babies in the nests 😍 Both moms are being very attentive! Because Sushi is a new mom I do have a camera on her litter to check in on them ❤️

Eve was out of her hut last night when I went to feed her. Upon what I can see from through the hut I can say there isn’t 1 or 2 but 6 little ones!!! 🥳 Way to go Eve!!

Came home from work to find Eve had her babies! From what I could see through the hut looks to be atleast 2 if not 3 little ones!! What a great surprise! ❤️

Aang now knows as Bear and Katara now knows as Sohma are headed to their new homes this evening! 🥺 it’s bitter sweet but I know these two sweet hearts will be loved tremendously!
