Fun fact: Cuterebra larvae are typically found in the warmer months and often come from pets sniffing around rabbit or rodent burrows! 🐇🐾
Thanks to her pawrent’s quick action and a little help from our team, Emma is now feeling much better and on the road to recovery. 💕

Some stories come full circle, and Commander’s is one of them! 🐶 This adorable pup was born right here at our clinic via c-section, and it was love at first sight for our amazing PCS Chandra, who adopted him from his fur mama’s family. ❤️
Fast forward to today, and Commander is back at Mid-Cities Animal Urgent Care for his neuter surgery. 🩺 He handled it like the champ he was born to be and is now ready to live his best (and responsible) puppy life! 🐕

Meet Raven, an adventurous bull terrier puppy who was referred to us by another emergency hospital for a much-needed endoscopy. 🩺 Her fur mom noticed she hadn’t eaten since yesterday morning and brought her in for help. X-rays quickly revealed the culprit: a silicone toy stuck in her stomach! 😲
With her pawrent's quick decision to move forward, Dr. Ferrell and Dr. Stepanek teamed up to retrieve the funny-looking silicone ball causing all the trouble. Raven recovered like a champ and was all tail wags as she headed home to her loving family. ❤️

Meet Ember: A Tiny Survivor 🐾🔥
Amidst the devastation of a fire under a downtown bridge, a glimmer of hope emerged. Firefighters were cleaning up after the blaze when they found something incredible: a live puppy who had survived it all. 💔🐶
They brought her to Tulsa Animal Urgent Care, and thanks to their quick actions and bravery, this little fighter is now safe and on her way to a better life. One of our amazing CES, Kyndra, has adopted her and fittingly named her Ember, because she’s proof that even in the ashes, resilience burns bright. 🐕❤️
Let’s give a huge shoutout to the Tulsa Fire Department for their heroic work and to Kyndra for giving Ember a loving home!

Meet Bowser, a sneaky pup with a taste for technology! 🍴 He decided the rubber off his owner's VR headset was the perfect snack (oops!). Thankfully, his quick-thinking owner brought him to us, and we were able to safely induce vomiting and recover the whole thing—no game over here! 🙌

🐾 Cat got your... needle? 🧵 Finn sure did!
This curious tabby boy got a little too involved in arts and crafts and ended up swallowing a needle and thread! 😮 After discussing next steps with his family, they opted for an exploratory laparotomy to safely remove the needle and prevent serious complications like GI perforation or a septic abdomen.
✨ Dr. Hurd performed a flawless surgery and successfully removed the needle. Finn recovered like a champ and made sure to grab some snuggles from his favorite technician, Chandra. 🩺💖

Meet Trooper! 🐩 This mischievous poodle pup got into some trouble when he chewed through the cord of a lamp! 😬 While he managed to vomit up most of it, there were still some pieces left inside, which were later confirmed by x-ray. After chatting with Trooper's fur mama, they decided to move forward with an endoscopy, and it was a success! 🎉 After the last piece was removed and Trooper recovered from anesthesia, he was all set to head home and get back to his playful self. 🏡💙
