Trinity Gap is visiting the Euless Animal Shelter this Thursday 6/19 from 2-4 pm! We are looking for volunteers to come and spend time with these amazing pups. 🐾

During this time, we like to get the dogs out of their kennels into the play yards for some exercise, treats, and of course, love. ❤️

Fantastic news!!

🚨 BIG NEWS for Animal Welfare in Texas!

In a historical move, the Texas Legislature has appropriated $13 million for a two-year pilot program to be administered by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). These funds, pending final approval by Governor Abbott, will be used to reduce the number of unvaccinated, unsterilized dogs and cats to prevent the spread of diseases like rabies, toxoplasmosis, and leptospirosis.

This pilot program means DSHS develops rules and procedures for how the funds will be administered and distributed, so we anticipate implementation will take several months.

THLN will be monitoring the rollout closely, and we will be hosting stakeholder meetings to gather input from shelters, veterinarians, rescue groups, and local municipalities across the state.

This is a major step forward, but just the beginning! Stay tuned.
