The once wild quarter horse cross I caught back in June is coming along nicely! He’s sporting his new halter and letting strangers pet him ❤️ he’s starting to come to the fence to ask for treats and no longer scared of the back ho!
I still need to do a video about how he was caught and the crazy story behind that adventure! One of these days I’ll get around to it 🤣

I am posting all of my equine art for sale and also offering to do a limited number of commissions in order to help offset the cost of vet bills/care for the wild horse I rescued and the horse I got from the rescue a few months ago.
Yesterday I had to take one of them to the vet to get some broken/infected teeth pulled. It was rather pricy but it needed to be done to help him be more comfortable.

When you send your horse in for training they are guaranteed to get desensitized to a whole lot of things!! The guys are always working on something around here so I take every opportunity I get. When I start working with a new horse these are some of the essential things I want them to understand before moving onto more intense workouts. Especially when they come to me with no manners. After they understand basics then we can actually lunge for a workout and begin to ride. Trust starts on the ground and it has to go both ways!! The horse has to trust me and know what I’m asking before I can ask for big things. #training #horses #horsetrainingtips

One of my clients horses got worked on today by the chiropractor! I set up farrier and chiropractic appointments for some of my clients and I make sure I’m there. I do this because I love learning from the chiropractor and I want to know what kind of physical limitations or special exercises the horses I’m riding and training should or shouldn’t be doing. #horses #training #chiropractor
