William Woods University is seeking a Hunter/Jumper Instructor! This full-time, tenure-track faculty position will teach equestrian studies as the Hunter/Jumper Instructor for the College of Equestrian Studies. The Hunter/Jumper faculty is responsible for teaching applied riding courses, applied theory courses, and other equine and equestrian courses . This position supervises the management and care of all horses used in the hunter/jumper string. The individual holding this position will also have the responsibility of coaching William Woods’ riders at local, regional, and national competitions.

The contracted teaching load is 12 hours per semester, with the opportunity to teach summer classes and intercession courses. Full-time faculty are expected to participate in faculty and campus committees, attend faculty assembly and college meetings, and conduct program and class assessments in accordance with standards developed by the University and outside accrediting entities. Faculty are also expected to develop educational programs to be presented to the campus at large as part of the University LEAD program and to attend such programs sponsored by other faculty in the university. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
