Small crew, but mighty results at the Archway Fall Classic 🍁

🏆 Karina Zieren and her pony Yellowstone had great results in the 2’ division. Earning several 🥇 & 🥈
5th place in the mini derby, and earning 4th for MOHJO finals.
Also earning 🥇 & 🥈 in her division for MOHJO finals. Wrapping the weekend up with Champion in the Equitation!

🏆Chaylee Wisecup and her newest partner Overtime also had great results in their divisions. Friday a 🥇 in the .75 as a practice day. Saturday and Sunday were several 🥇 & 🥈 in the .85 jumpers. 🥇, 🥈 & 🥈 for MOHJO finals and a 🥈 in the Jumpers Classic on Sunday!

We also have availability for boarding and training. Our trainer Madison Hart-Lea is USHJA certified!

A fun weekend for the final Ridgefield show of the 2024 season!

🏆 Chaylee Wisecup and her mare High Gloss had their first show together in the Hopeful Jumpers earning Champion both days.
-🥇 in the Gambler’s Choice
-🥉 in the MOHJO jumper classic

🏆Gwyn Laug and her mare Foolish April were Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Jumpers and Intermediate Jumper Rider divisions.

🏆Catherine Reus and her mare Finally Time got to join us for Saturday!

We sure miss having you in the barn, but so glad we get to share horse show memories with you both!

We had a good time this morning for our basic Anatomy/Conformation clinic.

Thank you Sterling & Hershey for being our examples!

Sterling was a very good boy, letting us write out body parts on him.

Our next clinic is a riding clinic July 18th from 4-6 pm. Trailer ins are welcome! We will be discussing Judge Scoring for the Hunter ring, and riding a Hunter course.

We had a fun time at the June Silver Fox show. It was a humid weekend, but we had a great time.

Results:
🏆Karina Zieren and her pony Yellowstone took home 4 Champions in the Beginner Division Hunter & Equitation. They also took 🥉 in the Mini Derby.

🏆Gwyn Laug and her horse Foolish April were Reserve Champion Saturday in the .75 Intermediate Jumpers.

🏆Emma Sconyers and Oklahoma Smokeshow were Champion in a competitive Puddle Hunter division Saturday and Reserve Champion in the Equitation. They also won their classic Sunday with a score of 82 🥇!

🏆Ava Ploch and her pony No Pablemo had good trips in the 2’3 Intermediate Hunter’s and 🥈 in the U/S. Sunday they were Reserve Champion in the Equitation and 4th in the Mini Derby. 🥇 in Eq on the flat.

🏆Chaylee Wisecup piloted Gwyn’s horse Foolish April to a 🥉 in the MOHJO derby Saturday evening. Sunday they were Champion and Reserve in the .75 Intermediate Jumpers. They took the win 🥇 in the Jumper Classic!

We had a fun clinic last night going over pulling, thinning and doing a basic hunter show braid on manes.

Another great day of learning!

Today we practiced lunging on a small scale. This is a skill that takes lots of practice, and usually not perfect in a day.
We started with a demonstration lunging Ace, and then each student got to practice lunging a partner (🤣 it was quite fun).
Each student also got to practice lunging on Harley and Josie at the walk and trot!
Josie also got a well deserved bubble bath at the end of our session.

We had a great evening full of learning!

Our first clinic of the summer went over wrapping legs, dressing wounds, checking vital signs, and when you should call the vet vs. small things you can handle yourself.

Unmounted clinic opportunities!!! Continue your education off the horse for the summer. We will be hosting several clinics this summer to continue everyone’s education with the Missouri heat, and due to our unique lesson program situation. Stay tuned for more clinics offered in July!

Friday June 21 5 pm - 7 pm
- Wrapping legs: standing wraps, polo wraps, bandages & why we use them?!
-When you should call the vet vs. handling it yourself
-Vital signs: taking your horse’s temperature, checking heart rate, pulse respiration and more!

June Saturday 22 9 am - 12 pm
-Lunging: basic lunge, resistance bands, side reins/pessoa rig & why we lunge?!

June Saturday 29 9 am - 12 pm
-Cleaning tack: properly cleaning and conditioning tack, learning what the pieces of tack are called, & other equipment used

We had a wonderful time at the June Ridgefield show!

🏆Emma Sconyers and Oklahoma Smokeshow had great rounds in the cross-rails earning 🥈 in the undersaddle and a 🥉 over fences Saturday and moved up to the Puddle Hunter’s with three 🥇 Saturday and Sunday earning Champion both days!

🏆Ava Ploch and No Pablemo had great trips in the 2’3 Intermediate Child division Saturday earning 🥈, 🥉 & 4th out of a competitive 13! Sunday they had great rounds in the Equitation earning two 🥉 & 4th.

🏆Gwyn Laug and Foolish April had good trips in the Limit Saturday with 4th’s and 4th in the Gambler’s Choice! Sunday we decided to play in the .75-.8 m jumpers earning 2 Reserve Champions and 🥈 in the Jumpers Classic!

🏆Karina Zieren and Yellowstone had 🥇, 🥇 & 🥈 earning Champion in the Beginner division Saturday. Sunday Karina had a clean sweep of three 🥇 in the Equitation earning Champion again! They also placed 5th in the CWD Mini derby out of a very competitive group of 14.
