Sequoia Humane Society is doing another "Long Stay" Fee Reduction from 8/23-9/6. We have so many amazing dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes with loving families that they very much deserve. Currently, we have 3 dogs and 1 cat that have been with us for well over a year now. They are all so special in their very own ways, and need a loving, safe space to spend their lives in. Our staff has been working on training and behavioral plans for each of them to help them transition into life outside of the shelter. For the next two weeks, our fees will be reduced for the animals that have been available for adoption for 90 days or longer. If you have an app on file and are interested in meeting with any of our animals, call the office to check the status and talk about setting up a meet and greet. If you do not have an app on file and would like to start the process, you can go to https://sequoiahumane.org/all-adoptable and start one today! Come visit our sweet big bunny, Amber! She is a 2.5 years old Rex rabbit, and she is spayed, microchipped, and litterbox trained!

She loves zooming around her enclosure first thing in the morning, throwing her toys around, and hopping up to people for pets. She's really gentle and affectionate, and she truly enjoys company!

We are currently working with a trainer on new training plans for the dogs in our care. We want to give them the best care possible and set them up for nothing but success! We are in need of training treats to use while working with the dogs during these sessions. Donations can be sent to or dropped off at 6073 Loma Ave, Eureka CA 95503. Polly Pocket and Chase made great friends!
We had them spend some time together this morning before Polly went to her forever home, and they shared a sweet cuddle. 💜

Chase is still available for adoption at our store! He's an affectionate, playful, 6 month old boy who loves all his toys, making new friends with ANYONE, and will gladly make air-biscuits if you hold him like a baby.
