Wanted to say thank you to Poppy State Cat Club for a fun, well run, show in Lodi California. Thank you to the judges for using My boy in their finals, (he made all 6 finals) and to Heidi and the show committee for all their hard work. It was great to see friends that I hadn't seen in a while and the opportunity to make new friends. Puma says "cheers" to all!!

BREEDERS POEM

I love my little kitty, she makes my house a home,
She always is my best friend, I never feel alone.
She makes me smile, she makes me laugh, she fills my heart with love
Did some breeder breed her? Was she sent down from above?
I’ve never been a breeder, or seen life through their eyes
I hold my little kitty, just sit and criticize.
I’ve never known their anguish, I’ve never felt their pain,
The caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain.
I’ve never waited all night long for kittens to be born,
The stress and trepidation when they’re still not there at dawn….
I’ve never felt the heartache of a little life in my hands,
A darling little kitten who weighs just 60 grams!!
Formula, bottles, heating pads you’ve got to get this right,
Two hourly feeds for this little mite throughout the day and night,
In your heart you know it, you’ll surely lose the fight
To save this little baby, but God willing, you just might….
Day one he’s in there fighting, you say a silent prayer,
Day two and three he’s doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four and five – he’s still alive, your hopes soar to the heavens!
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands day seven.
You take this little angel and bury him alone,
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,

Please keep in mind. just saying you want a kitten, doesn't mean the kitten is yours. you must meet the criteria, wich includes the reserving process!! SEVERAL PEOPLE CAN BE INTERESTED IN ONE KITTEN AT ANY GIVEN TIME. please be sure you understand what is needed to reserve a kitten.

I am a cat breeder.
I spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over cats, talking and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes. I only put kittens on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. I also choose to desex every cat and kitten that leaves my home to a go and live with a non-registered breeder.
I support ......each family who chooses one of my cats or kittens and let them know they are now a part of our extended family. I am there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my cats if its in the wrong place. I support my breed in rescue and education.
I hold them when they arrive and leave this world, not only my own, but my brethren in the fancy. I share my knowledge, show and socialize my cats so that they will be the advertisement for my dedication.
I don't keep track of the money and time I put in to my love of cats, it would not be true measure of how I feel.
I support my friends in the fancy, because it takes a village sometimes and only WE know how things are for us.
The price I charge for my kittens is never profit, but investment in the next generation.
I will not be ashamed of who I am, I work hard at being a good cat person and encouraging others to be the same.
I am a breeder and I am proud of it.
If we don't support each other - we are doomed as a fancy.
