It is with such heavy heart that I share the passing of Weezy. my sweet old man, my meow town house cat- the first ever freeloader to Meow Town. He had vestibular TWICE and was left deaf and constantly walking in circles. But that’s been for years now. He may not have been able to walk a straight line- but man if he couldn’t climb up a ladder (yes- a ladder) open all of the cabinets, weasel his way into everyone’s food containers and find the hidden containers of catnip (and spill it all over the floor for everyone’s enjoyment). He was an amazing cat. Made the best biscuits and would drool while making them. I will forever miss this handsome troublemaker. To everyone that boards- he will still be watching from the glass door and making sure your babies will have extra spilled catnip and treats from him. I know you are in heaven basking in the sunlight -shining through the window- enjoying life like you always loved to do.

Text me ONLY on January 2nd (I don’t care if it’s midnight! Just be ready!)
In order to be completely fair to everyone- I’ve decided not to continue with roll overs from year to year- and setting a date to open for reservations. This gives everyone the same opportunity to get their cats in.
Deposit will be required.
Once all slots are filled- I’ll start a waitlist.
Everyone will be notified January 2nd for bookings and waitlist.

It’s my birthday!!!!
If you would like to donate to Best Buddies Rescue Inc- that would be so amazing and appreciated. They do such great work for the pups (and sometimes kitties) in the community- not just with the animals- but owners as well. Helping and teaching people about spay/neuter etc.
I’m 48 today- so $48, $24 (the good ol days of being 24😜) or double my age (in dollars please) and support with a donation of $96!!!!!

If you are needing cat only boarding- please reach out to the following cat approved places! Yes- I am recommending places that are not located in Augusta however these will be your best options when it comes to stress free cat boarding.

Camp Kitty - HIGHLY recommend this cat only establishment. Solid reviews and wonderful staff. Decatur,Ga
Carolina Pet Resort- ok- not cat only but their cat boarding area is away from the loud barks and howls from the boarding dogs. That is major. So I give this a thumbs up. Columbia, SC
Wescott Acres Luxury Pet Resort- I’ve referred clients here for years for Masters and everyone has had a great experience. Again- not cat only but the cats are boarded in a different area away from the wildness of dogs.
The Cat Clinic YES! They offer cat only boarding- they are a vet practice which is a nice bonus. I give this 2 thumbs up. Columbia, SC

So if you are driving out of town for your vacation- please consider one of these facilities to ensure your feline(s) have the best experience possible. I assure you it is worth it.

I have recommended more than a handful of clients to Pawsitive Pet Stylist for cat grooming (and dog grooming too).
It is hard to find someone who works well with cats and does an amazing job with grooming cats.
If summertime is calling and a lion cut is what your baby needs- DEFINITELY reach out to them. The customer service is spot on too.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our Meow Town clients. Old and new- we thank you!
It is an honor to take care of your cats. Talk about the best “job” ever?!?
Thank you to everyone who continued to support us during the super scary start of Covid and now that we are sort of seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel - we are now busier than ever. Genevieve and I appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to taking care of those furry babies for many more years to come.

“We just came straight from the airport!
They are probably ready to get out of their crate- it was a long flight from DUBAI!”

“No. We just moved here this week.”
Oh wonderful! Where from?
“Qatar! Yes…. Our kitty was a stray cat from there!”

I thought it was wild! So many military clients moving away but now we are getting new military cats moving here!
