As part of our efforts to keep your dogs healthy, we will be requiring all dogs participating in group play to be current on their canine influenza vaccination by March 1st of 2024. This decision is based on what we believe is currently in our area.

We realize that some of the local veterinary practices are having trouble providing the vaccines due to a shortage in supply. The vaccine clinic scheduled for Thursday, December 14th still has some doses available. To help offset the expense of adding an additional vaccination, there will be no charge for daycare on that day for any dogs taking advantage of the clinic. If there continues to be a back order on the vaccines we will work with Daisy’s New Beginnings to acquire more doses and offer additional clinics.

For dogs receiving their first canine influenza vaccination there is an initial dose and a booster given three to four weeks later. A dog will be considered fully vaccinated if they have received their booster before February 22nd of 2024.

This vaccine is strongly recommended for all boarding and grooming dogs entering either of our facilities regardless of whether or not they are participating in group play. Any owners choosing to utilize those services without the vaccination will be assuming all responsibility for their dogs’ health. Boarding dogs not vaccinated will be kept as singles and will be charged the additional fee to have their dogs separated from other dogs throughout their stay.

Beginning on November 1st, there will be new grooming packages available and a small increase in the price of the current packages. The new packages are intended to make it easier for customers to know which package best fits their needs for their individual dogs. The small price increase is to allow the grooming department to better absorb the dramatic increase in grooming supplies while keeping the impact on our customers at a minimum.

Meet Fudgie. He is an absolutely adorable 9 month old Sheepadoodle (Old English Sheepdog/Standard Poodle). This boy is housetrained, crate trained, microchipped, neutered, and utd on all vaccines until next year. He loves every one he meets and loves to play with other dogs. He wants to be in your lap and give you lots of sweet kisses! He just got his summer cut and looks amazing thanks to Dilyne. Due to the expected inclemate weather the grooming salon will be closed tomorrow December 23rd. This will not impact boarding or daycare services.

The grooming salon will be back to normal hours of operation on Monday, December 26th.

Our groomers are excited to share the opportunity they have to further their knowledge and skills with pet grooming. During September 14th through September 19th the salon will be closed for all grooming.

Our Stylist's are going to be attending the largest grooming expo in the country, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where they will further their education and become certified in CPR and First Aid amongst other certificates such as puppy handling, styling everyday dogs, skin assessment, and a brusher bather course.

During this time it will be difficult for us to reply to voicemails and/or emails sent to us. We appreciate your understanding and promise to continue to provide the best service possible when we return. We look forward to sharing our new skills with our Daisy's Pets!

Daisy's Grooming will be implementing a price change beginning June 1st, 2022. We have adjusted the weight range to price more fairly. We understand that for some this could move a dog into the next weight category causing a new price. Due to this we have added some services that will be provided for every pet unless the owner requests we do not do it, or the pet will not let us safely do the service. These include nail grinding, and our new services teeth brushing and paw pad/nose cream. Most salons would charge more for these services, but we are an all inclusive salon.

You may also notice some new pricing changes based on double coat dogs. These previously fell under the bath and brush packages, but due to the amount of brushing and time it takes to complete these breeds, we have moved them into the full groom package so that pricing matches the amount of work that is done.

Lastly, we are now adding a late fee to our charges. We understand that things happen that we have no control of and can cause someone to run late. We have all agreed to allow a 15-minute grace period for someone if they are running behind. However, if it is past the grace window the groomer can refuse the appointment. If the groomer does accept the dog for their appointment a $15 late fee will automatically be applied.

Beginning on June 1st, Daisy’s Grooming will be making changes to their grooming packages, services offered, and pricing. The groomers will be adding a teeth-brushing to both the full groom and bath packages. There will be additional package tiers based upon weight along with a new price for each tier. The new pricing and packages will be posted in our lobbies and will be available on our website, www.daisyspets.com.

Waylon did a tremendous job helping Lilly prepare to meet potential adopters. Lilly was surrendered to It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue and Waylon really bonded with Lilly. She definitely looks great after Waylon’s groom.
