Their stories are varied - many are strays, some are surrendered by their owners, and others are taken from their owners for their own well being. All of these animals need homes where they will not have to endure shelter life again. ACA volunteers work to find these animals their forever homes. We are striving for a No-Kill Evansville.

šŸŽ‰ Itā€™s $5 FriYay! šŸŽ‰ Today, letā€™s shine a bright spotlight on two amazing residents who have truly made our rescue their home for way too long!

Meet **Jackie**, our delightful 2-year-old Terrier mix! At first glance, she may seem a bit shy around new faces, but give her a moment, and youā€™ll discover the quirky goofball that she really is! This sweet girl has a heart of gold and loves to play with most dogs; she just prefers the company of her male canine pals. With Jackie around, thereā€™s never a dull moment, especially once she warms up and showcases her playful personality!

And then we have **Rocket**, our lovable 2-year-old Lab mix! You might recognize him from our posts because this big guy has been through the adoption process more times than we can count! But donā€™t blame himā€”each return wasnā€™t his fault! Standing tall and large, Rocket is simply a gentle giant looking for the right match who can appreciate his size. He has a heart as big as he is and gets along wonderfully with every dog he meets!

The best part? Jackie and Rocket are inseparable at daycare! Their friendship shines as they run, play, and spread joy together. They could literally spend ALL DAY enjoying each other's company, and we believe they both deserve that special forever home where they can thrive!

Sweet Jackie is still looking for her furever family! She can be very shy and unsure about new people so she donā€™t show well at Petsmart or adoption events! She does however LOVE doggy Daycare! The got one 1-1 time today with staff and had the best time ever playing ball!

Update: Grandpa has been ADOPTED! šŸ©·

Grandpa Joe is back (at no fault of his or the adopters). The other dog in the home was so excited he was there, and wanted to play, and well thatā€™s not how Grandpa rolls! So heā€™s back on the market looking for his perfect match! He does needs a chill home with NO KIDS and chill dogs around his size (anything much bigger will overwhelm him). Heā€™s a perfect little house guest, and loves just laying in his dog bed watching tv! If you or anyone you know or looking for a good buddy Grandpa Joe is your man l! He does have a heart murmur, but it is controlled by meds!

Meet Grandpa Joe. He was recently returned and is in search of a retirement home! Heā€™s around 12 years old and would be best in a home with no children and calmer dogs his size or smaller!
