We are absolutely thrilled to announce that ITV has been selected by the to take over the operations of the Daviess County Animal Shelter along with the Spay and Neuter Clinic!

This is a huge step for us and we couldn’t be more excited to expand our mission to help even more animals in need. We've had the privilege of working closely with the shelter for many years and we are now looking forward to taking on this important responsibility starting April 1, 2025. There’s a lot of work ahead of us as we prepare behind the scenes, but we are ready for this next chapter!

A huge thank you to the Daviess County Fiscal Court for putting their trust in our organization. We can’t wait to continue making a positive impact on the lives of animals and the community. 🐶🐱

🎉🐾 **Hey everyone, it’s my 3rd birthday today!** 🎉🐾

My name is Rosey, and I’m also celebrating my 374th day in ITV's care! Last year, I weighed about 55 lbs, but let’s just say I’m feeling a little more *fluffy* this winter—thicker than a Snickers! 🍫

Here’s the exciting part: my adoption fee is SPONSORED! 🎈 Now, all I need is a loving family and a forever home where I can be the only pet. I’ve met a few older kids, and they’re pretty cool!

My foster dad brings me to adoption viewings every Saturday at ITV, and he always tells the staff how awesome I am (and I totally am!). I’m housetrained, crate trained, and I give the best cuddles and kisses you could ever ask for! 🥰

Jacob is a 6-year-old male beagle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He came from a hoarding case of 53 dogs and is now learning how to enjoy life to the fullest. Jacob keeps his kennel fairly neat and is working on mastering his leash manners.

This sweet boy is "thicker than a snicker," loves attention, and has an adorable smile paired with an irresistible wiggle butt. He’s ready to find a loving home where he can soak up all the affection he deserves.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

Meet Regina – Your Snow-Loving Sweetheart!

Regina is a stunning yellow Lab mix, born in April 2024, and currently weighs 40 lbs. She was found as a stray in Spencer County, but her days of wandering are behind her as she blossoms in a loving foster home.

This intelligent girl is crate and house trained and already knows basic commands. At night, she prefers the comfort of a cozy dog bed or the floor and is perfectly content in her crate when her foster is away.

Regina has been thriving alongside her foster’s two large adult Labs, showing her friendly and playful side. Her excitement over the snowy weather has been nothing short of heartwarming—she absolutely adores romping through the snow!

With her sweet, adaptable nature and love for both people and other dogs, Regina is ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER REQUEST! 🚨

We couldn’t turn away from these three sweet pups who desperately need a second chance at life. 💔 Now, we need YOUR help to give them the care and love they deserve.

🌟 Meet Dublin
This 3-year-old boy, weighing only 36 lbs, was found abandoned in the coal mines—severely emaciated and in need of urgent care. Dublin is incredibly sweet and just needs a foster home where he can get the consistent feeding and TLC required to help him regain his health.

🌟 Sweet Girl & Alero
Sweet Girl was found in a garage, trying to keep her 13 newborn puppies warm on a freezing concrete floor. Tragically, only one puppy, Alero, survived the harsh conditions. Sweet Girl is being an amazing mom, but this duo needs a calm, safe space to thrive.

💔 What They Need:

Dublin: A foster who can dedicate time for his recovery, including a proper feeding schedule for an emaciated dog.
Sweet Girl & Alero: A loving foster home that can provide a quiet, nurturing environment for Sweet Girl to raise Alero.

We’re excited to share that our very own Executive Director, Tangila Smith, and Board Chair, Tammy Schmitt, have been sworn in as the newest members of the City of Evansville's Animal Control & Education Commission! Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry

The Commission plays a key role in:
✔️ Approving or denying animal permits and licenses
✔️ Recommending changes to ordinances
✔️ Reviewing and revoking animal permits and licenses as needed

We’re confident that Tangila and Tammy will make a positive impact in this important work for our community! 🌟

Odin was rescued by animal control on January 8th after being found locked away in a garage severely emaciated. He is now in our care and is receiving much needed medical care at Warrick Vet.
