Lil’Fry is the newest horse to Double M and the Brandt family. He was born and bred at Murray State, and he came home to Double M last spring. He’s smart, full of personality, and loves treats! We look forward to watching him grow up and hit the show pen!

Smokey, aka the barn “mascot.” Smokey is known as our free-roaming mini horse. Smokey loves being brushed, naps, and roaming around his barn. If you’ve been to Double M in the last 20 years, you’ve probably seen Smokey wandering around or hanging out with his girl, Sonny.

Millie (Millenium Moonstar)… aka the 👑Queen👑 of the barn. She’s smart and sassy, fishes with her leadline. and “talks.” If you’ve ridden at Double M in the past 20 years, you know Millie! She has done local shows, 4H, lessons, trail rides, and wears hats;) She does it all, and keeps her rider safe! If you have pictures of riding Millie, please post below!

First things first thank you to our Double M Family and everyone who has ever written a board check or paid for lessons with your hard earned money which allowed Kim to live her dream.To this barn that helped form our children to the young adults they’ve become.Isaac knew if his ballgame was at 9:00 it meant he was in the barn at 7:00. The summer Annie graduated high school Kim broke her ankle and Annie ran the lesson program and the trail rides that summer single handed.When one of her friends father found out he told me that was incredible he couldn’t get his daughter to feed the cat lol.To Kim I went all in when you asked if we could leave our home and buy a barn and you came up aces my love.Every time the economy threw us a curveball you reinvented us birthday parties,trail rides and during Covid bringing in the nurses when they needed a safe haven. As for me it means for the first time in 20 years I won’t work 7 days a week which means more time for our baby in Westfield and his baby brother due in a month.Thanks to everyone we love you all, mean it.

Congratulations to the Brandt family on their purchase of Double M Stables.All though a surprise to many it is a transition that has been in the making for over a year.The Brandts have been a major part of our Double M family for 10 years as boarders and unmeasurable help with the maintenance of the big blue barn. Emma has shadowed Kim and Annie for years and is a 10 year member of 4-H and will be graduating from Murry State in January with a degree in Equine Science.The Brandts are an avid 4-H family and ran the saddle club at Warrick for a year.Our family could not be happier about turning this facility and these magnificent animals over to this wonderful equine loving family.Kim and I will be here helping with the day to day until Emma gets done with school in January about the same time Kim and I new home will be finished.We ask and hope for your continued support for this stable and this family.
