Sharing this again so everyone sees it. We don’t carry any of these products, but many of them are widely used.

Many affected products were sold in town. We spoke with several people yesterday that had affected products that they purchased locally.

If you use any of these products, check the full list at the the link below and check your dates. If you have thrown out the bag, it may be a good idea to toss the food anyway. It’s better to err on the side of safety. So far there have been 7 cases of salmonella in humans. And I would assume many unconfirmed cases in cats and dogs.

From the FDA:

“Mid America Pet Food has recalled all the pet food brands it manufactured with a best by date before 10/31/2024, which include Victor, Eagle Mountain, Wayne Feeds and two varieties of Member’s Mark pet foods. These products include both dog and cat foods and were sold nationwide in retail stores and online.”

Please read and share in case anyone you know feeds these products.

FDA, CDC, and state partners are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Kiambu that is potentially associated with pet food made by Mid America Pet Food.
