🎆 We love New Year’s Eve, but our pets probably don’t feel the same way! Fireworks can be scary and stressful for them. Let’s help our furry friends feel safe and calm during the celebrations. Here are some simple tips:
🐾 Keep Them Inside
Loud booms and bright flashes can frighten pets and make them want to run away. Keep them indoors with windows and doors shut. Bring in outdoor pets too!
🐾 Create a Safe Spot
Set up a quiet space with their favorite bed, toys, and maybe some music or TV noise. This helps them feel safe and comfy, and can block the noise from the fireworks.
🐾 Microchips and ID Are a Must
More pets get lost during this time of year than most other times (except 4th of July)! Microchips are a big help! That way, if they do get out, there's a much better chance of them being returned to you. Also, make sure they have an ID tag with up-to-date info or even use a Sharpie to write your name and number on their collar.
🐾 Comfort & Distract
Stay close if you can and keep them busy with toys or treats. Puzzle toys are great distractions!
🐾 Try Calming Products
Things like Thundershirts or calming sprays might help. Ask your vet if you’re unsure!
🐾 Stay Chill Yourself
If you’re calm, they’ll feel calmer too. Speak softly and move slowly.
🐾 Exercise Earlier
A tired pet is a relaxed pet. Play with them during the day to help them chill out later.
🐾 Potty Breaks Before Fireworks
Take care of bathroom needs early, so they don’t have to go out when it’s noisy.
🐾 Talk to Your Vet
For pets with severe anxiety, your vet might have meds or tips to help.
Let’s make this New Year’s Eve fun for everyone—including our pets! 🐶🐱❤️

🩷💎SPRANKLES UPDATE!!!
We are sure many of you remember the dog Sprankles. She was rescued by animal control in very rough shape. We had an incredible outpouring of support for her. The community really stepped up for her to help us get her the medical care she needed and to keep her in a foster home where she could learn what it was like to be a real dog! She had a wonderful time in her foster home with lots of friends including other big and little dogs, ducks, chickens, peacocks, pigs, bees, even emus! She did wonderfully with all her new friends. ☺️ She is a little extra interested in cats but it could be worked with. She’s been on doggy day outs and was even in a parade. 🍓 We think she is just loving learning about all the finer things in life for a pup. 🥹
Now we really need our community’s help with the last and final part of Sprankles journey…she needs a home! So many had expressed interest and we’ve nursed her (with the help of her foster parent!) back to healthy and through her medical procedures. We just need her family to come get her! Please consider Sprankles. She so deserves a home filled with love. 💕

⭐️🤎 The best word we have to describe Oliver…charming. 🤩 He’s magic in a pup!🪄He loves attention, all people and other animals. He likes to play and has such a sweet and confident personality. He’d love a home for the fourth!!! 🇺🇸
⭐️⭐️⭐️ADOPTED!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
🤎🖤Remember the poor dog that was shot and we picked him and his sister up to try and help them? And unfortunately the brother succumbed to his injuries. 😓 Remember the sister who was standing watch over him until help arrived, so loyal and loving of her brother??? That is Lucy here in this video! She came in March 4 and even though her adoption fee funds have been covered by the money raised for her brother Linus, she has not had one person show any interest in her. This is a special, loyal girl here. Please give her a chance if you’re looking for a new furry family member. She’s been here too long and has had such a rough start to life. It’s time for her to get the love and care she deserves. Please come meet her today. You won’t regret it!
🎥⭐️ Special thank you to our pet publicist for this video!
