Dorothy and Laszlo's year in review... all I have to say is WOW! It's been a whirlwind.

Dorothy's first time showing (IABCA in January), she got a puppy group 3, and TWO best bred by puppy in shows!

First time showing in AKC BPUP, she got a herding group 1!

Her first points she got in the form of a 3 point major going WB/BOW under Gopi Krishnan at Woofstock! To follow that:

WB/BOW under Fred Bassett
WB/BOW under Danelle Brown
WB/BOW under Pat Trotter
WB/BOW under Jimmy Moses
Quite a few major reserves.

We hit another IABCA show (June) and got a puppy group 2, and a bred by puppy group 3.

She earned her CGC, TKN, VHMA and has her VSWB and FITB pending!

Took him to IABCA in January, he was a bit worried about the show at the time but he got ring experience.

A few months later, in Lewiston, he was WD/BOW for his first points the first time in the AKC ring under Allan Odom! Since then:

Lucas' year in review:

We took him out to play and finish up his bronze Grand championship. We didn't press too hard on showing him, but we finished that goal! :)

He ended up getting his final points in the form of a select at NWCWCF Summer Specialty #2 under Bonnie Money, then select at the two all breeds that weekend. He earned his retirement outside of specialties.

He also earned two BOS veterans Sweeps under Kathy Davis and Jessica Viera!

He got his FDC!

We'll give a shot at other performance stuff now :D

Greater Clark County Kennel Club wrap!

Showed Airedale "Riot" to 1/WD/BOB and conquered some exam woes.

"Lucas" came out to play at the specialty and was BOS veterans Sweeps.

"Laszlo" was 3rd in his Sweeps class, won his class at the specialty, made the cut to WD and was very strongly considered. He was 2nd in all breeds Saturday and Sunday, then RWD to the 4pt major Monday! Pleased with his performance for a young boy.

"Bon" had a great time. He really liked walking in circles for snacks 🤣 Conformation definitely isn't his thing but we got tons of compliments despite him being a hairy boy.

"Dorothy' showed fantastically. She has some growing to do, then back to the grind!

Congratulations to Lorelei Binnendyk-payne on Reserve Best Junior with Lucas, Peter Tae Meziere on 3rd with Laszlo, and Sophie Holtcamp on 4th with Dorothy!

Thanks to all owners, handlers and friends for a great weekend despite not much purple!

Sorry things have been a bit quiet! I spent 4 days judging and stewarding at my local kennel clubs dog show.

Dorothy had her CERF done and she is all clear and normal on the eyeball department. Yay!

This was very brief and at the end of our lesson, but she is responding appropriately to some pressure and not just throwing herself at the sheep now! She's got a bit of a break coming up but it'll be exciting to see how she continues to progress. Yes, I'm horrifically awkward- I'm a bit afraid of sheep and getting a sprained knee cruciate tendon was the consequence today, but we'll get there. Happy to see her learning and developing past being silly.. I have a lot to learn.

Dorothy loves her sheep. For now it's just fun and building confidence, then we'll get down to business.

Dorothy is herding approved now. Lucas was there for a little confidence boost then she was happy to play with sheepies. Just um, ignore him and me, okay? 🤣

Yep, it's that time of year.

Dorothy had her first big girl show. She got no points but many compliments on her performance and amazing temperament. Really made my weekend as I deal with a surprise surgery upcoming. Ugh!

We learned today that Dorothy LOVES ducks... and is not afraid of water.
