Dorothy was Winner's Bitch & Best of Winners Friday and Sunday under Pat Trotter and Jimmy Moses respectively, as well as Reserve Winners on Saturday. We are in pursuit of just a major to finish her Championship! :)

Well I must admit I'm a bit of emotional sap. Digging through the new CWCCA bulletin and seeing one of my lovely bred-bys in the results made me wail like a baby. LOL.

I look forward to Laszlo's continued maturity especially as he was butt-ass naked for this and he was winners dog saturday and then best of winners sunday for the rest of the weekend.

And of course, thank you Amie McLaughlin for handling him to perfection. And Ellen Barnhart and Daniel Peterson and Lucy for housing the "P*e Dog". We will get him back out this winter in hopes of those majors.

This was very brief and at the end of our lesson, but she is responding appropriately to some pressure and not just throwing herself at the sheep now!

She's got a bit of a break coming up but it'll be exciting to see how she continues to progress.

Yes, I'm horrifically awkward- I'm a bit afraid of sheep and getting a sprained knee cruciate tendon was the consequence today, but we'll get there. Happy to see her learning and developing past being silly.. I have a lot to learn.

Today I heard some of the worst news I've ever heard.

This is Freyja- She was my first Pembroke, my first corgi. She was rehomed a while back due to some reactivity and just simply wanting to be an only dog.

We learned a lot together and she ignited my passion for corgis and purebred dogs.

She has had some issues for a year now and the vet could never find out a cause, but her family found out she's in stage 4 kidney failure. She is only 6.

So, her time is short, and her family is making the right decision.

4 Lucas grandkids are available for pet homes in Virginia from a good friend of mine. A brindle girl, 2 pink boys and a brindle boy.

Did you know? Regular grooming keeps your pups looking and feeling great. My dogs get bathed monthly and it keeps the dead undercoat out and healthy coats shiny. Dead undercoat reduces the warming and cooling insulation capability of the cardigan coat (and reduces dust bunnies in your house)

Yep, it's that time of year.

Dorothy had her first big girl show. She got no points but many compliments on her performance and amazing temperament. Really made my weekend as I deal with a surprise surgery upcoming. Ugh!

We learned today that Dorothy LOVES ducks... and is not afraid of water.

This... this is why we risk everything for breeding. Gavin's wife has been asking for a cardigan boy for over a year. They have two well bred pem girls from Evanwhit. For their anniversary, Gavin and I coordinated to surprise her. He came up to a "coaching conference" in Everett... and oops! This video makes my heart swell.
