Some tips to make Halloween easier on your pet
1. Crate or provide a barrier between your pet and the door to outside from 5-7:30pm (prime trick or treating hours)
2. Candy is fun for us humans but not so much pets keep it all high up and behind a door if possible. When walking your pup use a flashlight to check for wrappers or candy trick or treaters left behind.
3. Leave the bowl outside in case of severely anxious, reactive, or aggressive animals: no doorbells, knocking, or opening will lessen the chance of an accident.
4. If your dog likes people and kids put them on a leash and sit on your porch while you’re handing out candy allowing them to be involved in a safe way.
5. Skip just letting the pup out in the yard alone. Halloween can be loud and bright causing animals to act out of the normal. Use a leash and supervise your pet during trick or treating.

Hi, as I’m sure this comes as a shock to a lot of people as we have kept this very hush hush but we have decided to stop boarding effective 3/6/24. This choice was not something we made lightly. I suffer from very bad anxiety and never being able to clock out from work has become something that has consumed the conversation during my therapy sessions for some time. It seems silly, you get to go home to lovely dogs and cuddles. While that is mostly true, it is not always the case. I get worried like nobody’s business about these dogs- every meal, how much water are they drinking?, are they pooping normally?, are they stressed?, are they okay?, what if what if what if. I have spoken about my anxiety struggles before hoping I would be able to heal and work through it, it is clear I need a break. Between my job, the dogs, wedding planning, and school I rarely see a day that is calm and without stress and that means I need to make choices about what needs to give. While boarding may come back in the future, as of now we are not taking new bookings.

Anything that has been booked: anything booked as of right now will remain in place and go as scheduled, that being said mental health is fluid and dealing with so much things can change. You will always be notified a week or more in advance if things change.

Before you give your pup anything please speak to a vet and read the ingredients!! If you aren’t sure there are Facebook groups where only vets and vet techs can answer ( for free!) or call your vet and ask! Be safe & aware 🐾🐾
