We would like to inform you that Everett Community Growers will be closed from December 24th through January 1st in observance of the Winter Holiday Season. This brief closure will provide our team with a well-deserved opportunity to rest and spend quality time with their loved ones. While entering the new year well rested and energized to support our community.

During this closures, our staff will not be available to respond to emails, as they will be taking time to recharge and prepare for the exciting work ahead in 2026. We appreciate your patience and look forward to continuing our efforts with renewed energy in the coming year.

ECG is celebrating a year full of triumphs and tremendous growth. While we’ve experienced several staff transitions, we’ve continued to rise, evolve, and strengthen our work as an organization. This year, we proudly honored MA Urban Ag Week, celebrated Mass Farm to School Month, invested intentional time in creating development opportunities for our community, and forged long-lasting relationships that will guide our work forward—always centering the voices of those most directly impacted.

As we reflect on all we’ve accomplished together, we want to wish everyone a joyful, restful, and heartwarming holiday season. Here’s to continued growth, community, and shared victories in the year ahead!

Everett students are digging into local food — literally!

Our Youth Crew wrapped up the final harvest of 2025 at Everett Community Growers’ Northern Strand Farm!

Fresh carrots, herbs, and Swiss chard went straight to Everett High School, where Chef Charlie and his team are turning them into healthy, delicious soups for students.

Due to excessive theft at our farm, we will be canceling the remaining Free Farm Stands for the season. We understand that ending the free farm stand will be a significant hardship for many in our community who relied on it. Last month, ECG proudly celebrated 2025 MA Urban Ag Week 🌱🎉 with a series of events showcasing the power of urban agriculture. We kicked things off with a Guided Sensory Walk 🚶‍♀️🌿 at our Northern Strand Community Farm, followed by a Film Screening & Panel 🎬💬 featuring our staff and community garden growers. Together, we explored diverse practices, shared techniques, and learned from one another.

We wrapped up the week with a huge milestone—the 10th Anniversary of our Tremont Street Community Garden 🎂🌻—where we celebrated and honored our incredible growers for their hard work and dedication over the past decade.

It was such an honor to celebrate with our community 💚 and recognize all the amazing work that keeps our community thriving! 🌾✨

🌱 Yesterday, Everett Community Growers proudly kicked off MA 2025 Urban Agriculture Week with a Guided Sensory Walk at our Northern Strand Community Farm!

Led by our talented Farm Manager and Youth Crew, guests explored a variety of herbs and vegetables while discovering their rich historical and cultural significance.

It was an inspiring day of connection, learning, and sharing knowledge with our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the beauty and importance of urban agriculture! 💚

ECG is excited to announce its upcoming Free Farm Stand dates. Bi-Weekly on Tuesday’s starting tomorrow July 22nd we will be distributing a variety of locally grown produce from our Northern Strand Community Farm. Produce availability will vary week to week and is weather dependent. For the best variety please arrive early! Please stay tuned for our posts the day of the Farm Stand to know exactly what kind of produce to expect!
