Last month, ECG proudly celebrated 2025 MA Urban Ag Week 🌱🎉 with a series of events showcasing the power of urban agriculture. We kicked things off with a Guided Sensory Walk 🚶‍♀️🌿 at our Northern Strand Community Farm, followed by a Film Screening & Panel 🎬💬 featuring our staff and community garden growers. Together, we explored diverse practices, shared techniques, and learned from one another.

We wrapped up the week with a huge milestone—the 10th Anniversary of our Tremont Street Community Garden 🎂🌻—where we celebrated and honored our incredible growers for their hard work and dedication over the past decade.

It was such an honor to celebrate with our community 💚 and recognize all the amazing work that keeps our community thriving! 🌾✨

Next Wednesday (6/11) at 6PM, join .river.watershed , , and The Great Malden Outdoors for a conversation with Mardi Fuller ( ), a lifelong backcountry adventurer and the first known Black person to hike all 48 of New Hampshire’s high peaks in the winter.

Mardi’s mission is to support communities of color to self-determine in outdoor recreation and in the conservation movement. Join us to hear her discuss the societal forces that enable the persistent exclusion from full nature access that people of color face, as well as her personal experiences connecting with nature and navigating the mainstream outdoor culture.

Our Story

Email address: [email protected] This page is for anyone who wants to join the Everett Community Growers (ECG) as we work toward food justice and health equity in Everett! One way we are doing this is by creating spaces across the city for food growing. We currently run the Florence Street Community Garden, the Tremont Street Community Garden, and the Northern Strand Community Farm. Our fiscal sponsor is La Comunidad, Inc. a 501c3 nonprofit working to “serve and educate our community for a better future.”

If you would like to partner with us as a business sponsor or support us with a financial gift, please visit our page on Crowdrise here: https://www.crowdrise.com/donate/charity/lacomunidadinc/0?widget=1&.

Financial gifts help us hire youth, purchase equipment for our sites, and supplies for our community workshops and events!
