We have the sweetest adoption update for you on this Christmas Eve. Miley, now Matcha, was adopted into a wonderful home with another EAPL pup, two adorable little hoomans, and a ton of love. From her new momma:

"Matcha (previously Miley) has settled in snuggly to her forever home in Golden. Big sister Chai (also adopted from EAPL in early 2023!) has been showing Matcha the lay of the land (and couch), while human siblings Vaughn (12) and Evie (2) are nothing short of obsessed. Vaughn is brushing up on dog training videos online while Evie gently reminds Matcha "no bites, only kisses!" whenever those puppy nibbles of love wiggle out. Matcha and Chai, true pibble style, play hard and nap harder, curling up with each other in front of the fire or in the sunshine. We love our sweet, green-eyed, snorty little pitty piglet and are so grateful to EAPL for bringing a latte more love to our life!"

We love this update and the pictures are divine. Matcha and Chai, you two clearly found the best Forever!! Our work here is done!

Squee! We know many of you have been waiting for this. Super adorable Tigre, Tucane, and Rielero have been renamed William (white and brown), Wayne (black) and Walter (the white pup). Walter has already been adopted, but William and Wayne are taking apps! They will be ready after the 12th of January (after they are altered). Run, don't walk, to EAPL to find out more or fill out an application to meet or adopt one of these two!

**Adoption Update!**

Sweet Millie B found her Forever and it makes us so happy! Her new momma checked in!m: “She is the most loving dog and has completed our family. She is so calm and mellow especially compared to our two year old German Shorthair Pointer, Freddie!"

First of all, Freddie looks totally sweet and innocent in this picture. 😁 Secondly, we think Millie hit the jackpot with you guys! Have the best Forever, Millie B!!

**Update: Foster found!**

This stunning girl was abandoned in Arkansas and a wonderful human took her in to keep her from starting or freezing outside. However, they cannot have animals in their home, so she is in the shelter. Let's get this girl to Colorado and a new, wonderful life with humans that will treat her with nothing but love.

Let's call her Lumi (meaning snow and peace), she is a 2 year old Great Pyr mix, good with other animals and kids! Very, very sweet. The shelter says she acts more like a lab than a Great Pyr (with no disrespect to either breed!). She is potty trained. 50-60 pounds and could transport in two weeks!

This girl is cute as a, well, Button. She is an 8 year old cat who was found with five other cats when their owner died. They were all well cared for and are up to date on vaccines and healthy. Button is in the Cat Room at Chow Down in Evergreen. Fill out an application and go visit! Maybe you can give this poor girl a home for Christmas.

We had a Christmas miracle happen Friday and wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who stepped up. With much of our contingency without power and cell service, we received a note that one of our adopted dogs needed to be returned and would have to go to the shelter at the end of the day if we could not find a place for her.

THANK you to our volunteers who made the calls, our amazing foster who stepped up and to a wonderful volunteer who agreed to go get Zara and bring her to the new foster. It takes a village and we are thankful for every single one of you.

We got you, Zara! Now let's find you the best Forever!

We have the chillest Santa and the cutest dog for you on our 11th Day of Christmas.

🎄 On the 11th Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…one Dreamy girl waiting for her forever family! 🎁🐾

Meet Dreamy, a sweet 10-month-old pup who may be a Black Mouth Cur/Heeler mix (or possibly Lab). She’s a wiggly bundle of joy who lives for tug-of-war, chasing balls, and romping around with her floppy toys—seriously, she almost always has one in her mouth!

Dreamy is playful and energetic, but also smart and responsive. She can try to assert herself with other dogs, yet she’s easy to redirect and does well with guidance. She’s crate trained, comfortable in the car, and house-trained. She walks decently on leash and is eager to keep improving.

This sweet girl would shine in a home with older kids or supervised younger kids, where she can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and love. If your Christmas wish is a fun-loving, loyal companion who’s always ready to play, Dreamy might be the one you’ve been dreaming of ✨🐶🎄

Hershey is a 4-year-old, 65 lb pittie. He's goofy, energetic, very people-oriented, and super cuddly. He loves to play with toys, play fetch, and get belly rubs. He is such a sweet dog and really likes attention and love. He also likes riding to Starbucks for his pup cup. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and currently on Purina Pro Plan Large Breed dog food.

He’s reactive with unfamiliar dogs and doesn’t get along with one of mine (Hershey's father), so his current environment is stressful for him. He’d do best as the only dog or possibly with a smaller female, but I’m unsure how he is with other pets. He needs a lower-stress home with someone who can give him more attention and consistency.
