Meet Chip, the goofy pup who will keep you laughing! This 1-year-old Pit mix is equal parts handsome, hilarious, and heart-melting.

Chip and his brother Dale were literally tossed out of a car in La Junta, Colorado (in front of a cop!) — but don’t worry, Chip landed himself straight into foster care with EAPL and is now living his best life while waiting for his Forever Adventure Buddy! 🐶✨

Chip’s got a PhD in “Goofology” — he’ll make you laugh, zoom around the yard, and then snuggle up like a teddy bear who forgot he’s 60 pounds. He’s potty trained, crate trained, food motivated, and working hard on perfecting his next trick (we’re taking requests). 🎓🐾

He’s the perfect mix of silly and sweet — part stand-up comedian, part professional cuddler.

Meet Simba, our 5-month-old little king-in-training! 👑 This handsome pup is a mix of Boxer, Terrier, and maybe a dash of Catahoula magic — and he’s ready to rule your heart (and couch).

Simba might still be a cub, but he’s already wise beyond his months — potty trained, knows his basic commands, and learns fast because, well… snacks are life.

He’s a social butterfly of the Pride Lands, always ready to greet his friends (humans or dogs) with tail wags, kisses, and his signature full-body hug. Whether he’s strolling proudly on a leash, chasing the wind, or curling up for a nap in his kingdom (your lap), Simba lives every day with joy. 🌅

This playful, gentle, and oh-so-loving boy will look into your eyes with that Simba gaze that says, “You’re my human.” 💛

Know what’s better than one cat? Two! 💕

Meet Leo & Oscar, a pair of best buds looking for their forever homes — hopefully together! And hopefully a home without a dog. (They are not fans!)

☀️ Leo is a big, cuddly Ragdoll of a cat who lives for sunshine naps and lazy mornings on an enclosed catio. He’s a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’ll melt right into your heart (and your lap). Leo adores gentle kids, loves his people deeply, and takes his role as “family protector” very seriously — just don’t ask him to share space with a dog!

🐈‍⬛ Oscar is Leo’s loyal sidekick and playful partner-in-crime. He’s affectionate, gentle, and loves spending time with humans — especially little ones. 100% litter box trained and full of love, Oscar enjoys exploring enclosed outdoor spaces and always sticks close to Leo’s side.

The two are inseparable — they sleep snuggled up, explore together, and bring out the best in each other. And while they can be adopted separately, why not have double the love?

Get your tissues out.

Remember Bear? Bear is one of a trio of kittens born blind. When they were first found, all three were in rough shape: malnourished, sick, and unsure even how to eat. Bear and Foxy had to have double enucleations to remove the remaining parts of their eyes. Thanks to our Cat Crew and an incredible foster, they all blossomed into wonderful, playful kittens.

Well Bear was adopted and it looks like he has SO MUCH LOVE in his new home, and boy does he deserve it. His new momma checked in "He’s doing amazingly. You wouldn’t know he’s blind. He chases my dog and plays with my cats. I also adopted Mimi (now River) [the cat] about 2 months ago and am including a photo of the two of them snuggling."

Welp, this one pulls on our heartstrings. We're SO happy for you, Bear! Have the absolute best Forever!!

FYI Foxy has a pending adoption as well and Wolfy is undergoing some medical care.

Meet Mildred (the darker cat) & Manfred — the shy siblings with big hearts. ❤ ❤ 🐾

These two adorable kittens were trapped with their mama in Bailey. While their mom was truly feral, Mildred and Manfred were simply frightened little babies. Too young to return outdoors — especially with winter on the way — they were brought into foster care where they’ve been learning what it means to feel safe and loved.

They may greet you with a tiny “hiss-hello” at first (they’re still figuring humans out!), but the moment you start gently petting them, their walls melt and the purrs start rolling. Both are healthy, curious, and growing braver every day.

What they need now is a patient, loving home where someone will give them the time and space to blossom. Once they feel secure, you’ll see just how sweet and affectionate they truly are. 💕

Mildred & Manfred are:

* Up-to-date on vaccinations

* Good with other cats

* Good with cat-friendly dogs

* Good with adults of all ages

* Ready to love and be loved

Do y'all know we have a Thrift Shop? This Saturday the Thrift Shop is holding an Open House, adoption event, Santa Photos and holiday goodies from 11-3! Come check it out, box up those donation items to drop off and see our dogs! (Donations will be open from 10-2)

Aka: 15 pounds of orange opinions.

Meet Loudmouth, a 2-year-old domestic short-haired Big Orange Tabby who has a lot to say… about everything.
Food? He has thoughts.
Birds outside? Strong thoughts.
You getting up to use the bathroom without inviting him? Absolutely unacceptable.

Loudmouth is a world-class conversationalist and lap-sitting champion. He will happily narrate your entire day, then curl up like a giant heated potato and cuddle you into submission. Surprisingly, when it’s time to chill, he actually does—like a furry, purring weighted blanket.

His foster parents say he is “the perfect cat,” which is suspicious but we trust them.

We had a foster lined up for Mila who now cannot take her. She is tagged and coming to EAPL on the 18th. We do NOT have a shelter or location to place her-can someone help by fostering this girl?

Milla is the red and white female Terrier/Lab mix. She is about 4.5 mos old and is great with dogs and people!
