Good morning! We have a wonderful Foster Fail Friday to warm you up this morning.
Asher was found in Kansas on the side on the road, injured with a broken leg. He was likely hit by a car (see him in second picture at the shelter). His care team in Kansas made the decision to amputate his broken leg. Because the Kansas shelter is high-risk, EAPL agreed to take him, in hopes of finding him a wonderful Forever.
And we did! Ashers's fosters fell in love with him and have made him a permanent part of their pack (and it's the cutest, most perfectly mismatched pack ever!). Read on from his new mom:
"Asher was immediately a wonderful addition to our home, our cats seem to like him more than the other two dogs! He’s a big fan of hiking and being outdoors in general. He stole the heart of our dog Julian (who we adopted from EAPL a few years ago!) and his sister Marge. Both of our dogs are getting older, and Julian has been cursed with bad joints, and even worse hips. Asher has kept him young! He gets him up to play and reminds us everyday of how Julian was a few years ago. He has all the dogs playing with each other every day! He sleeps on my chest and loves to cuddle on the couch with my husband and I. We really felt like he was a part of the family, and I know that myself, my husband, and all of our animals would be devastated to give him away. He’s our three legged friend, and we’re so excited for the many years of love and adventure that he’ll spend with us!!"
Is someone cutting onions in here? We are SO happy for this amazing foster fail. We don't think we need to say it, but have the BEST Forever, Asher!!
