Good morning! We have a wonderful Foster Fail Friday to warm you up this morning.

Asher was found in Kansas on the side on the road, injured with a broken leg. He was likely hit by a car (see him in second picture at the shelter). His care team in Kansas made the decision to amputate his broken leg. Because the Kansas shelter is high-risk, EAPL agreed to take him, in hopes of finding him a wonderful Forever.

And we did! Ashers's fosters fell in love with him and have made him a permanent part of their pack (and it's the cutest, most perfectly mismatched pack ever!). Read on from his new mom:

"Asher was immediately a wonderful addition to our home, our cats seem to like him more than the other two dogs! He’s a big fan of hiking and being outdoors in general. He stole the heart of our dog Julian (who we adopted from EAPL a few years ago!) and his sister Marge. Both of our dogs are getting older, and Julian has been cursed with bad joints, and even worse hips. Asher has kept him young! He gets him up to play and reminds us everyday of how Julian was a few years ago. He has all the dogs playing with each other every day! He sleeps on my chest and loves to cuddle on the couch with my husband and I. We really felt like he was a part of the family, and I know that myself, my husband, and all of our animals would be devastated to give him away. He’s our three legged friend, and we’re so excited for the many years of love and adventure that he’ll spend with us!!"

Is someone cutting onions in here? We are SO happy for this amazing foster fail. We don't think we need to say it, but have the BEST Forever, Asher!!

**Fosters Needed!!**

Sugar and Butter were found abandoned in Arkansas at a campsite in the middle of winter. These Great Pyr puppies are now in a shelter and need out. Sugar is all white and Butter has brown markings on his face. Sugar and Butter are about 4 months old and are both male, weighing over 50 pounds each at present. They are both friendly with other dogs and with all people, very easy going and curious. We do NOT know how they are with cats or kids, as they are in a shelter and there is no way to test them. See video of them playing in comments.

We have two new kitties in the Cat Room-a bonded pair, so we're hoping they will be adopted together!

Martin (the grey cat) and Adam (white with spots) are a bonded pair who were found on the streets as kittens. 5 yrs later, they were relinquished due to a living situation with the owner. The boys are fully vetted. Foster mom says: “Martin is the sweetest boy. He loves attention and really enjoys being brushed. He is the shyer of the two and leans on Adam to let him know that all is good. When you pet him, he loves to give kisses in return. Adam is the bolder, more outgoing one. He likes to be around children and loves attention. He’s not keen on being picked up, but he will reach a paw out asking for attention. Both boys are fine with cat friendly dogs. They would love to have someone home with them during the day. They’re both getting more talkative.”

Who has home for two? Find out more or fill out an app on EPAPL.com. Then go visit at the EAPL Cat Room in Chow Down in Evergreen. Once approved, you can bring home twice the joy!

We can't believe this little guy has no apps!

Oden is a 12-week-old bundle of joy with the biggest personality! This brave little guy lost an eye when he was tiny, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit—he's living his best puppy life! Oden is a confident little adventurer who gets along wonderfully with all his doggy housemates.

This smart pup is working hard on his kennel training, potty training, and making new friends. He's already a champion leash walker and a pretty good car ride buddy! Oden is super playful (with those adorable puppy nibbles!), so he'd do best in a home without young children.

Oden's dream family has a yard to explore, no cats or small dogs, and loves staying active. He's hoping for someone who'll spoil him with all the toys and cozy dog beds a pup could want—and who loves a good cuddle session on the couch! This sweet boy can't wait to continue his training and go on all sorts of adventures and hikes with his forever family.

Ready to fall in love? Apply at eapl.com—Oden's adoption fee is $375. 💙

Haggis is a two and a half year old kitty who was an outdoor feral cat. Some wonderful people slowly befriended her over the course of a year by putting cat food and water outside for her and leaving the garage door open slightly so that she would have a warm place to rest in the winter. Slowly she became more comfortable with the family and moved inside, but they had too many animals so they handed her off to EAPL to find a Forever home.

She enjoys cardboard scratch pads and you can find her scratching them in the EAPL Cat Adoption Room at Chow Down in Evergreen. She is friendly and good with other cats. With so much going on in such a short time, a quiet home with someone who will give her plenty of time to acclimate would be best. Come meet this sweet girl to see if she'd be a good addition to your home. If interested in adopting her, please fill out a Cat Adoption Application on our website at www.eapl.com. This girl truly deserves a wonderful Forever. Can it be you?

Boston is in the Cat Room at Chow Down in Evergreen waiting for his Forever. He is a true beauty with a slight Boston attitude. He might give you a good hiss when you first meet him, but he relaxes right away and is a total sweetheart. He is 8 months old and all of his littermates have found their Forever homes. It's his turn!

Who can take this sweet boy home? Apply to adopt at EAPL.com!

**Courtesy Listing** This is NOT an EAPL animal. We cannot help with Autumn's adoption or answer question about her. Please contact Suzanne at [email protected] if you're interested in this beautiful girl.

Meet Autumn — a sweet, stunning pup looking for her perfect forever home! Autumn is a beautiful husky with striking blue eyes who has been living with us as a foster for the past couple of months. We originally hoped she might be a permanent addition to our family, but due to a few lifestyle mismatches, we want to help her find a home where she can truly thrive.

⭐ Why Autumn Needs a New Home
Autumn is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to please. However, she has a high prey drive (hello, Husky!) and, because our HOA won’t allow a large secure fence, she’s been able to get out and run after wildlife. Even with an electric fence, it hasn’t been a good fit for her.

Autumn Would Do Best In a Home That:
🐾 Has older kids or adults only - does great with our 4 year old, but runs away from our crawling baby
🐾 Has no cats- other dogs will be a bonus
🐾 Has a secure, high fence to prevent escapes
🐾 Can take her on daily walks and give her consistent structure

Autumn’s Great Qualities
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Walks nicely on a leash
🐾 Is crate trained and will go in on command
🐾 Does not get on furniture
🐾 Spayed Up to date on all vaccinations
🐾 Sweet, cuddly, and loves to be near her people ️

Still Working On
🐾 Jumping when excited
🐾 Begging for food

BREAKING NEWS: Local Cattle Dog Still Available, Absolutely Baffled!

Snow is coming and Stix is READY. This almost-6-year-old Blue Heeler mix has been crushing it in foster care for so long that he's starting to think "foster" is just his last name. Stix has more skills than your average overachiever: sit, down, stay, shake, rollover. He's food-motivated, which is a polite way of saying he'd probably sell state secrets for a cheese cube. But his most impressive talent? The cutest little majestic wolf howl. We're talking National Geographic documentary-worthy vocalizations here.

This handsome gentleman is seeking an active household that appreciates:

Fetch (his true calling)
Hiking (his second true calling)
Running (also a true calling—he has several)
Puzzle toys (because he's beauty AND brains)
Being the ONLY pet. He resource guards his food (us too, Stix!) so no other dogs, cats or little kiddos.

Stix is house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to be your adventure buddy.
Apply now at EAPL.com This good boy has been waiting long enough!

We made a trip up to the Cat Room at Chow Down in Evergreen yesterday and, oh my gosh, we have six stunning and sweet cats in there. We're going to showcase them all this week in hopes of finding their Forevers!

First Up is Tris.

This beautiful girl deserves so much better than being left behind. Tris was abandoned by her prior owner. A sweet neighbor took her in, but the neighbor has dogs and a busy household, and Tris does better with peace and quiet. (Girl, we feel you) At just 1.5 years old, Tris is ready to show her forever family what true devotion looks like.

Tris is gorgeous. She is a sweet, gentle soul who warms up quickly. She gets along great with other cats-she is very scared around dogs. Tris may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she is affectionate and sweet. She's looking for a calm, dog-free home where she can feel safe and loved.

Ready to meet her? Tris is in the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down, Evergreen. Apply at www.eapl.com. Once approved, come meet all our amazing cats and find your purrfect match!

Tris is one of 6* beautiful cats currently looking for homes. Don't let her sweet face scroll by—she's been through enough. Could you be the one to give her the happy ending she deserves?
