Canine Culture Grooming Studio has reopened in our beautiful new location!!

I want to take a moment to thank all of my lovely clients for their dedication, encouragement and continued support during this lengthy and at times overwhelming transition, helping me continue to pursue my passion.

It feels like a true blessing to guide my dog grooming business onto this exciting new path as we expand and welcome new clients at our new location at 32214 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen, CO.

UPDATE: Owner found, waiting to connect.

This little gem was loose on Main Street, sniffing around Murphy’s.

Well groomed, super friendly little girl with purple ears and tail.
She ran right up so I scooped her off the heavy traffic road for safety.

She’s clearly a well loved dog and I’d love to get her back to her owner before I completely fall for her obvious charms 🥰

Super weekend at Rocky Mountain Groom Expo

Tonight I’m camping with my kiddos who are my trusted assistants and my biggest fans at every show, so my first shoutout is always to them.

They have been my team since my son first coming with me to superzoo 2018 and volunteering himself to all the big jobs of hauling crates, walkies and watering, and guarding my room key with all the responsibility of a 7 year old boy distracted by palm trees, flashing lights and the promise of pool time… Now at 13 and 10, my kids are my greatest motivators, with kind remarks and endless encouragement and support at every event. Without them I simply couldn’t possibly do this. They are my everything. 😍❤️😍

Here’s my list of treasured moments for my sign out:

Nefari came in so bushy, you may not know which end you were looking at. Wendy Booth called it “scary hair” 😃 I’ve forgotten how lovely a dog she is under there. Her improved coat texture landed us a 3rd place under Olga Zabelinskaya Ncmg but with the remark I’ve heard consistently on this dog, needing to improve my finish on her. We are improving in working together, I hope some day we’ll get there still and I think we’re moving forward each time.

Boston, my gorgeous silver mini, my true pal and faithful companion will do anything I ask and trust me with his life… right up to the moment I lift my scissors! He is my favorite weirdo and I wouldn’t want to *almost* it with anyone else. We took second place with less than our best scissorwork that day but I am grateful for another chance to have Olga comb over my boy and remind him he’s a good boy indeed.

Stewart almost caused me to walk out of the ring last year pulling out my hair. This year he was perfectly comfortable and relaxed by contrast, which gave me plenty of time to focus on my trim. I wish to keep progressing with my Bichon each time and this show we took 1st in B division and best scissored and ended up best in show. I didn’t believe it when Wendy Booth called my name. I just looked at my daughter to check her face for confirmation that she heard it too. This was such a huge personal achievement and I’m thankful to Catherine Opson for taking the time to meticulously to comb over my dog and help restore my confidence with my Bichon trim.

Mary Oquendo, I treasure our random chats. Lotus loves her tiger eye and the vet wrap on her ankle was a perfect touch to her diamond bejeweled high heels. I love the easy feeling that comes with knowing that while I’m in the ring anywhere in the states, familiar, trusted eyes glance over my kiddos just often enough to make sure they’re doing alright, and in this case not bleeding out from their ankles lol 🥴
Thank you to Jennie Cockrum Smith Ncmg and Blake Hernandez for listening to my ramblings. The espresso hits weird on those early mornings where the body must begin before the brain 😅

Those lovely poodles have already had a good swim in the lake and have been running through the forest all day, but that’s how we roll here in the high country, living our best life first and hoping to have hair for shows only after having mountains of fun.
