Bailiff was adopted! Here's what his adopters have to say:
We call him Teddy because he snuggles like a Teddy bear. He’s becoming more confident each day and starting to sniff and explore the world around him. He’s a quick learner and already knows which toys belong to him and which belong to the kids. It’s been just over a week and it's hard to imagine life without him. We are so appreciative of his foster family and all the volunteers at RROC.

🐾 Meet Scarecrow! 🐾

This three-year-old yellow Lab came to RROC scared and unsure after being found roaming the streets, but he’s blossomed in rescue! He’s friendly, playful, and loves frisbees and tennis balls—though he might miss a catch now and then due to limited vision in one eye.

Scarecrow gets along with other dogs once introductions are made and treats make friends in seconds! He’s easy-going, affectionate, and the perfect companion…except when it comes to fences. Scarecrow has a strong protective streak around barriers, so he’s best suited for an experienced dog owner in an adult-only home.

If you’re ready for a loyal, loving Lab with a big heart (and a little protective flair), Scarecrow could be your perfect match! 💛

🐾 Hi there! My name’s Ryman, and I’m thrilled you’re reading my story! 🐾
Somehow, life led me to rescue—but I was lucky enough to be chosen by RROC and get a second chance. Want to know a little about me?
😼 Cats? Nope. Non-negotiable.
🐶 Dog friends? I adore girls, but most boys? Not so much.
💖 People? I’m a total love bug! My foster mom spent hours sitting with me, giving hugs, belly rubs, ear scratches, and snout kisses. I don’t push for attention—I just lean into it when it comes. Even the tiniest pet or smile makes me grin for hours!
🍖 Treats? I go absolutely wild—carrots, strawberries, dog biscuits… you name it, I’m thrilled!
🛏️ Comfort? Give me a soft bed, and I’ll curl up in pure bliss until you need me for something else.
🏃‍♂️ Energy? I love running in any yard, big or small, but I’m calm, obedient, and easy to recall. I even have a silly habit of rubbing against fences—it makes everyone laugh!
😄 Fun fact: When I’m super happy, I scrunch my snout, close my eyes, and wag nonstop. People say I look like a “gorgeous land seal”—I can’t confirm, but it’s flattering!
📏 Stats: Around 5–8 years old, about 50 lbs, and a smaller-than-average retriever mix.
