Breakfast at Denny's, visited the zoo, been to the movies now waiting on pizza before the Shorebirds game. The Girl Scouts will be in a parade on the field before the game starts.

Congratulations Dory Motarazzo! You're the winner of the Girl Scout raffle! The girls raised $325, which purchased over 180 pounds of dog food, enough cleaner concentrate to make 264 gallons, 60 pounds of kitty litter, 64 cans of cat food, 32 pounds of cat food and PetSmart will be making food donations to needy animals because we purchased some of the food there. Thank you all so much for your generous support!

We'll be selling raffle tickets at Tylerton before the Smith Island United meeting tomorrow.

We will be raffling a Pampered Chef grill pan, grill press, 2 steaks, 2 baking potatoes and a dessert, over $200 value, to benefit the animals at Somerset County Animal Control. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Drawing will be April 13 and supplies will be taken to the shelter the next day. Let us know if you want tickets!

Girl Scouts will be taking door to door cookie orders today in Ewell and Rhodes Point. You can also call or message us. The cookies we are selling are:
Savannah Smiles, Trefoils, Di-Si-Dos, Samoas, Tagalongs and Thin Mints for $4 per box and Girl Scout S'mores and Toffee-Tastic for $5 per box. You can also buy cookies for Operation Taste of Home. These cookies will be sent to our military overseas.

Our Girl Scouts will soon be taking door to door cookie orders on Smith Island. I'll list cookie names and prices soon. We will also deliver to Tangier and Crisfield.

We are still collecting items for care packages we will be sending overseas. If you want to donate please feel free to have any of the following items shipped from Walmart, Amazon, etc. directly to Smith Island Girl Scout Troop #341 3067 Back Street Tylerton, MD 21866. Requested items: microwave popcorn, pop tarts, razors, gum, mints, dental floss, chef Boyardee cans with pull tap, body wash, baby wipes, powdered drink mixes, ramen bricks, cocoa packets, deodorant! decks of cards, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, personal size tissues, granola bars. If you have items shipped please let me know so we don't ship the boxes without your donation.Any items left after filling boxes for troops will be donated to HALO. Thanks for supporting our military.

The Smith Island Girl Scouts are teaming up with Operation We Care to send care packages to the brave men and women in the military. We will be collecting items throughout the summer. If you have extras or coupons for these items please contact me or Erin Pruitt. Items needed are: baby wipes, body wash, granola bars, lip balm, 15 oz. cans Chef Boyardee, hot chocolate packets, decks of cards, dental floss, non-aerosol deodorant, disposable razors, gum/breath mints, ink pens, instant oatmeal, microwave popcorn, pop tarts, powdered drink mixes, Ramen noodle bricks not cups, shampoo, small personal Kleenex, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Thank you for your help! This will be a great experience for our Girl Scouts and to let our troops know how much we appreciate their service to our country.

If everything works out the way I've planned the Girl Scouts will be delivering cookies in Tylerton Saturday afternoon and delivering in Ewell and Rhodes Point Monday after school.
