Adorable Posey a sweet little baby mama with the most endearing little ear is waiting at the Princeton Petsmart for people to finally take her home. She’s there with other adorable cats and volunteers are there all weekend 12-4 to help get these sweet angels into loving homes!

January has been an extremely difficult start to the New Year with one expensive emergency after another and we are already drained financially and emotionally so we want to take a moment to celebrate the good stuff and that’s seeing otherwise homeless cats find loving new families to care and provide the life they deserve. Rescue is hard…but these are the results that keeps us going at it even during the difficult times. We unfortunately are learning we can’t save them all no matter how hard we try to but for these lucky kitties we hope & pray for a lifetime of happiness.

Update — I am so upset as I write this but Mr. Handsome was humanely euthanized this morning in the presence of the loving team at Cat's Only. We will only do that as a last resort but this poor guy was in very, very bad shape and suffering. He also unfortunately tested positive for both FIV/FELV and his prognosis with best care was poor.
We can take comfort that he was not brutally euthanized by uncaring people in a cold pound...he died with love around him and with dignity. I will add his cremated remains to my stray kitty garden in the Spring and he won't be forgotten. Thank you all for donating...I will use the funds toward the care he received and cremation and anything left will put toward the balance on Peanut's bill... she is thankfully thriving. This is Mr. Handsome. We were alerted to this poor angel who had been unceremoniously dumped at the Paterson Pound two days ago in horrible condition. He minimally has a severe upper respiratory infection, obviously bad eye infections, and had a bleeding wound on his paw. He was a top candidate to be killed for those crimes. He absolutely broke my heart, and we busted him out of there this morning.
He is now at Cats Only in Pennington, hospitalized, and will get any and all medical care he needs. I pulled him out as a leap of faith... no idea if he'll be friendly and adoptable or will need a barn placement when he's better, but I could and would not allow him to be killed for the sake of convenience. Please help us help him.
We are running on no money, having taken in six cats just this week from a fellow rescuer who passed away that also need medical care, as well as our sweet Peanut whose bill we are still paying off. Anything helps. This poor boy looks like he's had a crap life... l'd like to give him the chance to know that not all people suck. Thank you!

Tonight an amazing group of certified cat ladies/rescuers joined forces at Anna's apartment to round up her cats. To our dismay we discovered several had already been removed by an acquaintance of Anna's including Lucy, Angel Eyes and another cat...we don't know where they are and pray they are safe and will be cared for. That said we successfully captured the remaining eight cats and all are safe and will be on to new lives once they've had a chance to decompress and get vet checked. Once they are ready for adoption they'll be posted. Thank you to everyone that helped tonight it was a team effort. Thank you Julie Fuselli; Maria Powers; Liz Farkas and a huge thank you to Nikki & Carolyn…it wasn’t easy but these ladies never gave up!

Extremely urgent at this point. We are getting a lot of pressure to get Anna’s cats out of the apartment. We have no control of the residence and are working tirelessly to find safe placement for her cats. Please rescues reach out if you can take one or two. There are just a few that currently are not spoken for. We plan to pull everyone that has a place to go out on Monday/Tuesday. I really don’t want to leave any behind so please help. The landlord wants these cats out we don’t have alot of wiggle room here and are more than an hour away so it’s getting very sticky. Please reach out if you can help. Thank you!

UPDATE —- sweet senior Lucy has found a wonderful home to join…we will get her on Tuesday. There are just four cats that are in limbo…rescues please, please step up to help get us to these cats out of the apartment asap! Thank you!!! Update on the cats Anna left behind. Several of us have been working all day to place the 12 cats Anna left behind with her passing. As of this post several rescues have stepped up to take these cats into safety but there are still four more that need placement. Rescues, please if you can take one or two that would be so helpful. URGENT. Friends and rescue partners, many of you may be familiar with Anna Fiorelli, she was a local trapper and independent cat rescuer in the Orange area. Anna sadly passed away this week and leaves behind about 11 cats she rescued from the mean streets. I have helped Anna in the past with placing cats and she knew she was sick and was always afraid that her cats would end up in shelters if she passed but could not quite part with them in the moment. Please, please reach out to me directly 732.850.0779, I am working with Erica Cruz to see what we can do for her cats. We all have personal cats and love them and I am sure live with the fear that she was experiencing…so please in the spirit of community among those that love and live in the service of animals, can we pull together to get these cats placed? Our rescue can take 3-4 so that leaves about 6 or 7 cats in need of rescue. I have no details, etc…I am just in the gathering phase of getting a group of folks together that can help once we know more. Please step up for 1 or 2 of these cats and know we are doing the right thing. This is a sad situation and for those that knew Anna, she was a unique person with a big heart for cats, she dedicated her life to them let’s as a group of smart, talented and caring people do the same for her cats, I am sure they miss her terribly and sadly so many street cats she cared for will be left without an advocate. Let’s all take a moment and be grateful for people like Anna…it’s a very sad situation. Thank you.

What a great way to end a snowy day knowing that lots of sweet cats found loving homes! First we are so excited our super senior, Juliette who is suffering from mouth cancer has been officially adopted by her foster mama. Juliette was unceremoniously dropped off without warning at Petsmart this past summer by people who claimed they found her in their yard…afraid she would be dumped or worse and given the state she was in we took her and she’s known nothing but love, safety and care since! Also adopted was our little angel Georgie, one of the last cats (thankfully!!!) from the East Brunswick hoarding situation…Georgie joins a loving family with other cats to keep her company. Also adopted was the beautiful Lara found outside on her own but now joins a big family! Adorable and shy Tink who was also barely surviving outside on her own now has a loving family to give her the care she’s never had. Our beautiful boys Tux & Garfield found loving homes separately (they were not bonded at all!) after losing their mom right before NYE and being left in a scary shelter. And lastly our shy, sweet baby mama Penny was lucky enough to go home with Garfield her new bestie she met at Petsmart! Love and happiness to all these kitties and their new loving families!!!

**Update on Peanut** - As of 1/21 Peanut is doing amazing, she looks so great and is eating on her own.
Her foster said she's so sweet, loves pets and has an awesome purr! We are so glad we didn't just give up on her based on how bad she looked or because of cost, this little baby is going to hopefully have a long and wonderful life so thank you to everyone who has contributed. We could still use more donations so we can pay her bill in full...which would be amazing as we are still paying off several other medical emergency expenses. This afternoon we were alerted to this baby who was found on the street in Elizabeth bleeding from her eyes and mouth and just generally struggling. The finders did not have the experience or funds but were desperate to find the kitten help. Once we were able to make contact we had the kitten rushed to Blue Pearl in Levittown where she is now. Her estimated care right now is estimated between 3-5k we will know more once the dental specialist is able to evaluate. For now she is resting comfortably on pain meds and being treated for a severe upper respiratory infection and flea infestation. Her jaw is likely fractured so we know more soon. Sadly it seems this might have been intentionally done to this tiny baby which it’s horrifying and heartbreaking but we will do everything we can to help her heal in every way and ultimately find her a loving, safe forever home. This one is for the ladies…it’s 2025 and if one of your resolutions was to find a man who will love you, truly, madly & deeply…well you should hurry up and meet our big hunk of burning love, Garfield. Garfield sadly lost his home right before NYE when his mom had a stroke and he and his housemate were surrendered into the Paterson Pound, where we quickly grabbed them and brought them to safety…no animal wants to be in that place for long! While he and his pal, Tux (also a big charmer), like each other just fine, there is little interaction between them…but boy oh boy does Garfield like humans, and especially the ladies…this 22lb beefy ginger can really turn on the charm…slow blinks and seeking out attention and pets. He is absolutely fine with other cats of all persuasions, but really loves people. He is a wonderful animal who got dealt a bad hand right at the start of the year and really needs to be in a home where his weight can be managed properly and he can be engaged and get moving! We all love a man that needs just a little work to be purrfect…and Garfield is no exception…he just needs some TLC and the lucky lady (or person) that takes him home will have no regrets. Happy 2025!!! For six lucky kitties this weekend it most certainly was. First and foremost our 15yo Archibald who had been dumped outside when his owner passed away and found in deplorable condition never has to worry about being homeless again as he found his new forever person this weekend! Also adopted three cats from the East Brunswick hoarding situation found new and loving families to give them the life they so deserve, adorable, playful and sweet brothers Alfie & Asher went home together and the gorgeous Tyrus found a big and loving family for himself! Also adopted were little foundlings Peyton & Eloise! We are so happy for all of these cats and hope this momentum continues as we have so many other cats waiting for a second chance!

Tomorrow we kick off what we hope will be an AMAZING new year of adoptions. There is an unprecedented amount of homeless cats & kittens in the past few years…so please consider adopting a new bff or two to kick off 2025 with some good vibes! Our two newbies, Tux & Garfield were happily living their lives just two weeks ago when their mama sadly had a stroke and will not be coming home…they found themselves right after Christmas at the Paterson pound…fortunately our great rescue partner up that way got them to us pretty quickly and they are now at the Princeton Petsmart looking for a second chance. These sweet boys are heartbroken and confused but sooo loving….🥰. 2024 ended pretty horribly for them…let’s make sure 2025 turns that all around. We are at Petsmart with these angels and so many more Sat & Sun 12-530pm!
