Meet Jada and Calle, two sweet mares who just joined us. 💕 They are both incredibly friendly and curious about their new home. Cali is broke to ride, and while we believe both girls are in their 20’s, we’ll know more once they’ve seen our vet.

Taking in horses means vet checks, farrier visits, feed, and lots of love. ❤️ If you’d like to support Jada and Cali on their new journey, donations of any size go directly toward their care.

Every bit helps us give them the safe, happy future they deserve. Thank you for being part of their story! 💜

Montana is feeling the love thanks to all of you! 💕 Since our last post, we received a generous donation of horse items including a boot that fits him perfectly and even a soaking boot to make his hoof care easier. 🐴✨ On top of that, with your monetary donations we were able to order him his matching boots, which are now on the way! 🥾 These gifts will keep him comfortable while his feet heal. You all are truly the best, thank you for supporting Montana on his journey!

💔 Poor Montana just hasn’t caught a break since coming here. First, he strained his hamstring. Then I noticed he was sore on his front foot. With his flat feet, I thought it might just be a bruise… but soon he could barely walk.

The culprit? A BIG abscess. 🩹 The vet also found that his heels are severely under-run and recommended he wear shoes or boots on his front feet until we can grow them out correctly with regular farrier work.

For now, Montana will be rocking some protective boots to keep him comfortable. 🐴💙 If anyone has Soft Ride boots or something similar they’re willing to donate, he’d be so grateful!

Monetary donations are also welcome to help cover the cost of his boots, vet work, and corrective farrier care. Every bit helps get Montana back on his feet—literally.

Nora had her piglets yesterday! 🐖💕

She’s doing great, and her little ones are absolutely adorable. If you’ve been thinking about adding a piggy friend to your life, they’ll be ready for new homes in about 8 weeks!

These babies are sure to bring smiles, snuggles, and a whole lot of personality.

An average evening around here? Grain buckets clanging, meds and supplements flying, and a little chaos sprinkled in for good measure. 🐴💊🍽️.

We kick things off with dinner and whatever concoction each horse needs to stay shiny and sound. Then it’s playtime with our favorite baby horse because what’s life without a little zoomie session? 🐎💨.

After that, it’s training time with Giuseppe (our handsome bay roan) and Baby (our spicy black mare). Slow progress, lots of patience, and always a few laughs. It’s not glamorous, but it’s ours. ❤️

Today we helped the Humane Society of Ray County move to their fancy new digs, and let’s just say, if you’ve never loaded multiple trailer loads of stainless steel cages in July, you’re missing out on a full-body workout and a free sauna experience. 😅💦

The new place looks AMAZING, and it was so awesome to see a crowd of animal-loving superheroes show up to get the job done. Who needs a gym when you’ve got 400-pound dog kennels and a mission?

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it happen. The animals are going to love their new home!

Big shoutout to NaVet Farrier Services and Dr. Leighr from Long Veterinary Clinic for braving the chaos and getting our herd checked out today! 🐴💉👢.

Montana has officially diagnosed himself with “I don’t wanna work” syndrome, turns out it’s a torn hamstring. So he’ll be hanging out, eating snacks, and avoiding responsibility for the next month or so. He’s on pain meds and anti-inflammatories to help him heal up comfortably. He still got his shots and a trim today, and once he’s all healed, we’ll get his teeth floated and get him back on the adoption list. You can still come meet him, just don’t expect any high kicks or fast moves.

Fabio (adoption pending!) was a rock star for his Coggins and vaccines… but when it came to the farrier, he said, “Absolutely not.” So we’ll be working on foot manners and convincing him that pedicures are not, in fact, a form of torture.

Thanks for supporting our quirky crew, it takes a village (and a very patient vet and farrier)! ❤️🐎

Every Summer, We Stockpile Hay — Because Winter Won’t Wait.

In just the past two weeks, we’ve spent $1,200 on hay to ensure our herd, and the horses still waiting to come in, are fed through the cold months.

-Hay isn’t cheap.
-Vet and farrier bills aren’t cheap.
-And we have a growing waitlist of horses needing a safe place to land.

This year has been especially tough. Everyone wants to see horses saved, but fewer want to help make that happen.

We can only do so much on our own but with your help, we can do more.
If you believe in what we do, please consider donating to our ongoing hay fund. Every bit counts. Every bale matters.
