Update he has been found!!

Hi Vintage Plaza Vet family we need your help!

One of our clients was dropping off a cat to be neutered yesterday morning and he got out of his kennel and ran down N Jesse James Rd before coming inside. He is tabby and white but very skittish. We have set up a live trap behind our building in hopes of catching him.

Asking for anyone who lives near N Jesse James to help keep an eye out and give us a call if any sightings!

Below is a picture of him, thank you!

🚨 We Are Out of Space – We Need Your Help NOW 🚨

Right now, we have 295 dogs in our building at the KC Campus for Animal Care—one of the highest numbers we’ve ever had. There is not a single open kennel. Not one. Every single space, including our overflow areas, is full.

In the past three days alone, nearly 80 new dogs have entered our shelter, and we are completely out of room. If we can’t move dogs out of the building immediately, we will have to make heartbreaking decisions—today. We are doing everything in our power to save lives, but we can’t do it alone. We need you.

Starting today through Sunday, March 2nd, all dog adoptions are fee-waived. That means puppies, specialty breeds, big dogs, small dogs—ALL dogs. No exceptions. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the time.

Can’t adopt? Foster. Even short-term fostering for a few days can save lives. Learn more here: https://kcpetproject.org/programs/foster/

Can’t foster? Share this post. Spread the word. Help us reach the person who can adopt or foster.

Our community has stepped up time and time again to help us in critical moments like this. We are begging for your help now. Visit our website to see all available dogs: https://kcpetproject.org/adopt/dogs/

Please, help us save lives today. šŸ†˜šŸ¾

Stretch

Stretch is a sulcata tortoise that was found near Maple Woods Community College and brought to our clinic. Sulcatas are African tortoises and are not able to survive in cold weather. Stretch lives at our clinic during the winter months, and at Dr. Watkins’ house over the summer.
