I am a huge advocate of the pro-muzzle movement. Some dogs just need a little extra help. While a service dog does not need to wear a muzzle under normal circumstances, many other dogs can benefit from a muzzle for safety of the handler and people around them. Many dogs wash out due to behaviors. Let's normalize being safe and people making safe choices for their dogs and community!

Music helps relax people and dogs and it is really fun to have music to sing to while I work. You might be surprised to know that I am one of the few dog groomers who encourages the pet mom/dad to stay while I groom their dog. Carrying around an object of comfort such as a stuffed animal, or even a stick while on a walk is often considered a displacement behavior in dogs. Basically, a dog will have "big feelings" and, they will grab an object to comfort themselves. Did you ever see a dog grab a toy when greeting a new person? Or, on a walk they always pick up a stick and carry it the whole time? Some dogs carry a favorite toy around with them. This is an object of comfort. This, is a coping mechanism in dogs. They are managing their anxiety or other 'big feelings' by using displacement as a coping mechanism. Dogs are so smart!

Every dog needs to unwind and, enjoy time off! This is especially true for working dogs. What fun things does your dog like to do to enjoy time off? Some options I recomend are dog puzzles, socializing with other dogs, parks, hikes, playing fetch, using a long line if you have mobility issues and allowing your dog to roam safely.
