✨ Just a little note for those asking about completely bald Chinese Cresteds ✨

We get a lot of requests for completely bald Cresteds, but it’s important to know that it isn’t correct for the breed. A completely bald Chinese Crested is not considered standard.

It is important to understand that Chinese Cresteds are not Xolos or American Hairless Terriers.

By breed standard, Cresteds are supposed to have a degree of furnishings—that signature silky crest, socks, and plume.

You may hear people say “hairless” or “hairy hairless,” but those aren’t different varieties — they’re just terms used to describe the amount of hair a Crested happens to grow. Genetically, they’re the exact same. Every hairless Crested will have its own level of furnishings, but none should ever be truly bald.

That’s part of what makes this breed so unique and elegant! 🐾💜

If someone is consistently producing dogs without furnishings, they either are mixing in other breeders or are breeding against the breed's ideal standard.

If you’re drawn to a dog with absolutely no hair, a Xolo or American Hairless might be a better fit. But if you love the charm, personality, and whimsical look of a Crested, those little tufts are all part of the package.

We are going to be looking for a retirement home for Zira very soon.

She has had some complications with whelping, and we feel it is best that she is spayed and not bred again.

She is good with other dogs, dog door trained, and crate trained. Rides well, leash trained. Needs a home with a fenced yard. No cats.

She is not free, and Spay contract will be required.

With his squinty side-eye and perfectly timed head tilts, he’s always silently judging your choicesEqual parts goofy and sassy, Skunk is the kind of pup who makes you laugh, then makes you wonder if he’s secretly running the house.
