Some bunny is looking for a home! We have Dutch, mini rex and dwarf papillon rabbits looking for forever homes to call their own! These breeds are known for being very friendly.

2025 Poultry Information

We will NOT be taking reservations for chicks this season (2025).

Due to a large number of reservations that were not picked up in the past, all chicks will be first come, first served.

On the day of arrival, chicks will NOT be sold until they are posted on our page. They spend two days on a truck coming from Texas to get to us- so we will be hydrating and feeding them for two hours after they arrive at our store. This will help to ensure that when they go home, they will be strong, healthy and ready to be a part of your family.

*NOTE: Sexing-Day old chicks is not an exact science. The hatchery claims an 85% gender success rate for all standard breeds.

ALL BANTAMS, DUCKS AND TURKEYS ARE STRAIGHT RUN (NOT SEXED) ONLY. *

The Chicken Man has left the building!

After a 26 year career at Pickering Valley, Randy Walker has retired! Randy handled the ordering of bird feeders, Tomy trucks, pond equipment, live pond fish and plants and everyone’s favorite… the poultry!!! Randy also helped with hiring the staff you all have seen over the years and provided crucial training to several of us. He has been a friend and mentor to many of us, both customers and staff. We will all miss him and hope that he has some great adventures ahead of him in his retirement. Please feel free to drop a comment and help us wish him a happy future! (Sorry for the opening sentence Randy, I know you aren’t a fan of the King but it fit so I used it!)

Santa himself will also be in attendance taking photos for a donation to our cause!

Our bunnies are feeling festive! We have several sweet rabbits that are all looking for forever homes! We have mini rex, dwarf papillon, Dutch and dwarf mix rabbits available now. They are all very friendly and inquisitive! We carry all the supplies needed for proper rabbit care, from habitats to toys to exercise pens, we have it all!
