I send all of my contracts (both puppy purchases and stud contracts) through HelloSign. There are a few other companies out there as well, and most offer a free trial period. These electronic signing services are legally binding and so much more efficient.

Most of my clients own French Bulldogs. While I love these silly clowns, I do not love some of their health issues. Frenchies are very heat and humidity intolerant. We are in Missouri and are just starting the time of year where we have to be overly cautious. Please be aware of signs, be extremely careful with your dog, and be prepared to act fast if there is an issue.

It’s been a year of learning for me! While I’ve been raising my own puppies for over 10 years and taking in special needs puppies for a few years, this past year has been my first raising other litters. 

In reviewing my income and expenses for the past year, I have realized that I did not estimate my expenses very accurately. The amount of electricity that is needed to run heaters and do 5-8 loads of laundry daily has tripled my usage 😳. Add in more cleaning supplies, p*e pads and supplies, well, it adds up. I checked other whelping services and discovered I was charging a third to a half of what everyone else was charging. Due to this, I have raised my weekly charge from $300 to $400. Prices have increased on dewormers, plasma, and other supplements. I was charging less than what it cost me, so those prices have been updated to cover my expenses.

A few of the munchkins today. Summer’s, Karly’s and Fendi’s litters all moved out of the whelping box and into their own big boy/big girl puppy pens. We’ll be working on litter box training and weaning over the next several days, so they will be ready to go home in a week and a half.

This is big progress from a few days ago, where they wore more than they ate!!!

We have been dealing with dreaded virus here, and puppy care comes first, so I have slacked on social media. Thankful for my mom who has taken care of things when we could not! Enjoy a video of our little Corgi friends, who are growing so fast!

Merry Christmas Eve from Lola’s hungry crew!

Sheba’s littles are growing so fast! They go home this Saturday. I will miss them. The good news? When Sheba’s mom picks her up, she is dropping off two moms to be that will deliver their litters over the next few weeks. For now, I will enjoy the adorable fluffy bears as they learn the potty grass system, discover new toys and learn new things.

Reese’s little ones have had a busy few days. We have introduced potty grass, they started on puppy gruel and had their nails Dremeled. Ears are starting to stand up and they are really starting to play. I love this stage!

Puppies have been cleaned, weighed and marked with their designated color so we can check and record weights to ensure they are growing appropriately. Momma Ginny enjoys ice packs as she nurses, and when I’m not taking photos or video, she is given a canine massage. We love stress free momma’s. It’s tough enough already to be in a home she doesn’t know with new people, and new puppies! We want her to relax and feel safe. Momma’s are better momma’s if they’re not stressed.

Between our litters and about 4 others staying with us throughout the month, our June is booked and unfortunately we can’t accept anymore litters.

An old favorite! This was our litter of 13 Goldens born last year as Covid was just hitting. I worked from home almost the entire time. We had a bit of fun with puppy games and challenges 🤪😆.

Karly’s cuties are 4 weeks old today!! We celebrated with their first meal.

Sweet Golden babies 🐾❤️. These are ours.
