Wow! Big response and a lot of interest. Juneau had her surgery yesterday and is recovering with the cone on...

Also, a very nice family that hunts is going to take her home soon, so she's got a bright future. Lucky dog....

Juneau vom Borealen. Juneau is a super friendly 7 month old pup. She's the one everyone wanted to take home because she is such a looker and because she is so friendly and accommodating. Juneau swims, she has been shot over, she has been on a bunch of grouse, she points well, she tends to retrieve well. She will walk on a leash and she has a nice natural range hunting. She isn't steady or force fetched and she hasn't been taught to use an e-collar yet. I really, really like this dog and this litter. Unfortunately, Juneau has an eyelid that rolls in a bit (entropian) and recently started bothering her eye. She is scheduled for a surgery for a surgery that corrects this. For this reason I am looking for a new home for her. A really nice hunting home is the only place that Juneau belongs. If this is you, let me know and we can work out a fair price for a started Deutsch-Drahthaar.

Swim and retrieve training with Inez and Jelly Bean today. Jelly got stuck swimming in place, so I ended up going swimming as well and gave her a nudge to swim to shore. So many new skills to learn as a young pup.

Jelly Bean had a great night at the hunting dog class. Only one photo because she had too much fun searching for and finding chukkas and swimming after bumpers!! I came home and Jameson was stalking and pointing Juneau.

Jelly Bean began her exciting journey as a hunting dog with her first field lessons! Her handler learned too! We're both sponges. Many thanks to our wonderful instructors for their generosity and guidance. Jelly has already learned so much, including day 2 on a leash!

Hi,

My name is Jameson and I am a male pup, 11 weeks old, born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I'm learning a lot every day while I work on growing into a full sized Deutsch-Drahthaar. Maybe you can help me out? I am looking for one dedicated hunter. Someone who wakes up early during waterfowl season and isn't scared to put on some snowshoes to go after the ptarmigan and sharptails in the winter. A person who enjoys fall ruffed grouse hunts and doesn't mind shooting me a hare every now and then. I'd really like someone who's willing to get me out on some blood tracks in the fall if anyone in the neighborhood wounds anything. I'm not to picky as long as there is a love for hunting. I'm not just a freeloader either. I can do all the searching, pointing, tracking, and retrieving in exchange for a bowl of kibble each eve. Must own 4WD vehicle and a shotgun. Prefer a hunter with a boat and/or airplane or at least some friends with them. Lounging couch and a big yard would be a plus.
