These magnificent creatures are exceptionally suited to frigid environments and inhabit some of the most extreme locations on Earth. Here are a few more fun facts about Arctic Foxes:

Their coat usually showcases a combination of gray and brown, highlighted by buffy markings and undersides. Alaska is home to approximately 8,000 wolves, which roam across much of the state's territory, making it the only state in the U.S. where they are not classified as endangered. 🐺

When we see one or a herd, we let them pass by, giving plenty of distance and time to do so. Moose are magnificent creatures that can be seen all around town in the summer and fall. Here are some fascinating facts about them.

February is recognized as Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, an annual observance aimed at highlighting the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Support the cause by:

1. Sharing information about the benefits of spaying and neutering pets on social media and within your community.

2. Promote the adoption of pets from animal shelters and rescue organizations, where spaying and neutering are frequently included in the adoption process.

In February, we celebrate National Cat Health Month, a time to focus on your cat’s health and well-being. There are several ways for cat parents to engage in this important initiative, contribute to their pets' care, and help raise awareness. Here are several ways to celebrate. ❤🐈🐾

1. Schedule your cat's yearly wellness check-up. In order for your vet to catch and treat any problems early on, it is important to schedule your cat's annual wellness exam.
2. Spend extra quality time with your cat through extended playtime with their favorite toys. Maybe even treat them to a new one!
3. Volunteer to feed and care for the cats and kittens at your local animal shelter.
4. Adopt a shelter cat or kitten will be eternally appreciative of your kindness and generosity.

Happy Change a Pet's Life Day! 🐕🐈

Today is a day to shine a light on our furry friends in need and encourage adoption from shelters! 🐾❤️ So many adorable, loving fur babies are out there just waiting for their forever homes! 🐾❤️

Other ways to celebrate other than adoption include:

1. Foster a pet. Fosters are heroes of animal rescue! Transforming the lives of shelter pets, one paw at a time.

2. Volunteer at a rescue. Your love and kindness will change the day-to-day lives of homeless pets.

3. Change. If you are already a pet parent, show your fur baby extra love today by giving them a special treat or taking them for a longer walk.
