Captain is doing so well! He had his sutures removed yesterday and his surgical site is healing really well. He is still on some anti-inflammatory medications and has a few more post-op check ins to complete. His urine output is being closely monitored. His new special diet will be life-long.

Captain is currently in a medical foster home and is still receiving care from Chena Veterinary Clinic.

Captain is recovering well and is getting back his normal, playful self.

He still has an extended hospital stay and pretty intense recovery ahead of him.

Captain had surgery! It was successful, but post-op care is intensive and critical. Captain is still on several medications and a specific recovery protocol. Donations toward his surgical procedure and recovery are so, so, so appreciated.

Physical donations of pellet kitty litter (we like the $7 bag of heating pellets from Lowe’s) and Purina Pro Plan cat and kitten food can be dropped off at Chena Veterinary Clinic. Your donations allow Toe Beans to continue to provide care for Alaskan cats in need.

Captain is having surgery TOMORROW! 🎉

This surgery will keep Captain from experiencing a life threatening urethral obstruction again. Over the weekend, Captain has been in the hospital receiving medical care prepping him for surgery. Captain will need some pretty serious post-operative care, as well as a special diet and medications.

Donations to Captain’s care go toward surgery, medications, food, hospitalization, and all the care that he has received by doctors, technicians, assistants, and receptionists at Chena Veterinary Clinic.

Additional funds allow Toe Beans to take responsibility for future felines.

Battle and Boston are the two boys left for adoption!! These two would love to go together but could also go to separate homes.

Our adoption fee is $200 and includes spay / neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip placement, and PCR / feline leukemia testing.

Quick fundraiser! The kittens are ravenous. We are feeding Purina Pro Plan kitten food, dry and canned (any flavor). We also use wood pellet or paper pellet litter. This fur missile is Bunker! Bunker is all about the playing! He is always on the go. He’s not the first kitten to greet you and isn’t huge on being snuggled, but grab a toy and you have his undivided attention!

Battle always means business! This wild boy goes straight for the shoes. He loves to play in the tunnels, chase Boston around the shop, and climb up anyones pants.

He’s not always the first to greet you but once he’s over he’s all in.

Say heyyyyy Boston! Boston is super cute and super crazy. He is playing 24/7 and has a really hard time sitting still. He loves to do the cute kitten butt wiggle and tackle his siblings (the M on his forehead stands for massacre…jk).

He is very opinionated and always has a lot to say! You can most often find him playing with his brother, Battle.

Oh, lovely Liberty Belle! She and Bottle Rocket are the only two females in this litter. Can you imagine having four brothers?!

Belle has super cute, super unique markings. She is
white with cream patches and a tabby tail. She also has some small tabby spots on the back of her legs.

She is a sassy little girl! She loves to climb and file her claws on the scratching post. 🔔💜

Meet Bottle Rocket! This little girl is always looking to play. She is lively and curious and very pouncey. She will be fluffy, but I think petite like her mom.

She loves ambushing her siblings in the tunnels and chasing after balls.

And she has the CUTEST little toe beans. 💥 💙

Double stack of nakeds! These two are visiting Chena Veterinary Clinic today for radiographs, bloodwork, and a spa day.

Did you know that sphynx cats need regular baths? Cat skin produces oil the same way ours does - but since sphynx are hairless, they have no way to “wick” it off their skin. It’s recommended they be bathed approximately once a month, though it can vary cat to cat!

Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Ross is a young, single mom of 6. We don’t know a lot about her past, but after delivering six perfect kittens on Independence Day, she was surrendered to the shelter in Juneau with her wild brood.

Betsy is approximately 10 months old and is sweet as can be. For such a young girl she has had lots of adventures! She flew in a plane from Juneau to Anchorage. Then, she spent the night in Chelsea’s Subaru with her six kittens until they drove and met Dr. Rember in Healy the next day. Dr. Rember drove her super awesome VW camper van to pick them up - and she immediately made herself at home.

She is a resilient, sweet, go-with-the-flow girl who is generous with her affections.

Betsy does have an approved placement once she is spayed, but has received her own list of veterinary care since she arrived at Toe Beans. Donations toward care for Betsy and other cats like her are always appreciated.
