At many of the parties, we have heard interest from guests wanting ducks or chickens. Here is a great opportunity to get your very own! ❤️

12/31/24 These ducks were surrendered to the shelter because their owner was having surgery and could no longer care for them. On arrival at the shelter, they were treated with Ivermectin for lice and should initially be quarantined away from other poultry. They previously lived in an outdoor coop and do not appear to be used to being handled. If you are unfamiliar with the care requirements for ducks, we encourage you to do the research prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting any of these lovely ladies, please let us know!

(Just a little P.S.A.)This is very true! Our 🐖 Jimmy Dean is considered a "mini potbelly". They don't stay "little" unless you are under feeding/starving them.

Trial and error, baby!!!
That's all you can do when you're keeping animals through the ❄️ winter in Alaska. Our 🦃 turkey, Mr. McGriddles, decided he didn't want to be friends/room mates with the🦆 ducks anymore. Plucking out their 🪶feathers, one at a time! Naughty 🦃 turkey! Good thing 🎅Santa already came for the year! All 🦆ducks have been moved indoors with the🐇 bunnies for the time being.
