Looking for stocking stuffers? We have some fun options. Charcuterie packs for your pups, Mountain Dog treats for cats and dogs (the travel container is metal and refillable!), the new dental chews from Purina (these have been a huge hit with staff dogs), dog bubbles (sorry, we are currently out of the kitty bubbles), and candles that are pet related but also support an amazing cause to raise funds for pets in need (check out our website for more info on Paisley Paws).

Dear Fairbanks (and surrounding Area) Pet Owners:

Aurora Animal Hospital is pleased to announce that effective Monday, December 15, 2025, we will be OPEN until MIDNIGHT, offering emergency services for all local veterinary practices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (these are the nights that After Hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic is closed).

Our doors will remain locked during these hours, so we ask that you call 907-371-5550 to advise the team that you are on the way and once you have arrived to our hospital If you are not an existing client of Aurora Animal Hospital, we will send records from your visit to your regular veterinarian the following day.

Note that due to staffing constraints, after midnight, there will be NO veterinarian available locally for emergency services on those nights until 8AM the next day. Pet owners can utilize Vet Triage as needed for telemedicine advice during that time.

Founded in 1971, Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital is committed to providing the very best veterinary care possible. Our eight veterinarians combine their expertise with state-of-the-art technology in our modern hospital to deliver veterinary medical care to the wonderful pets in Fairbanks. All of the staff at Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital understands the special bond between pets and their families, and strive to fulfill the needs of each client and each patient. Working together with our clients, we keep healthy pets healthy and help sick pets get better!

Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in 1976. AAHA accreditation means that our hospital has voluntarily undergone close scrutiny to prove that we operate by the highest standards and provide the highest level of care possible.
