Any content maintained in a social media format that is related to FNSB business, including a list of subscribers and posted communication, is a public record. GENERAL INFORMATION
Users and visitors to social media sites shall be notified that the intended purpose of the site is to serve as a mechanism for communication between FNSB departments and members of the public. To the extent prohibited by APOC, comments in support or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures or other political actions;

C. Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of age, race, religion, sex, ethnicity, nationality, disability, or other protected class, status or characteristic;

D. Sexual content or links to sexual content;

E. Solicitations of commerce;

F. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;

G. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or

Suki (A140462) is a 3-year-old DMH who weighed 7.06 pounds on intake!

12/03/25 This shy but sweet lady is Suki! Suki was surrendered to the shelter and looking for her new home! For the past two years of her life, she was said to have spent most of her time outdoors. We want to remind the public that the leash law applies to cats and that it can be quite dangerous for our feline friends when they are outdoors. Her surrendering owner stated that she would frequently be harassed by male cats when outdoors. She may enjoy a catio to enjoy the outdoors in the summer months safely! Suki was said to be timid towards new people, but once familiar with you, she was described as a very affectionate cat. Suki has no experience with children and was reported to be selective toward her feline companions. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new people and animals to help set her up for success. Due to her timid nature, she would prefer plenty of safe places to hide and possibly a cat tree to climb in her next home! Suki was said to be litter box trained in her previous home and to have a healthy appetite. She arrived at the shelter matted and had to be shaved for her own comfort. Her next owner will need keep up with her grooming to prevent future matting. If you are interested in meeting Suki, please let us know!

Skippy (A140488) is a 2-year-old DMH who weighed 9.78 pounds on intake!

12/04/25 This shy boy is Skippy! Skippy was surrendered to the shelter with his housemate Junior. However, it was unclear if they are friends or just coexisted. Both of these boys have been using their litter boxes since arriving at the shelter and have had healthy appetites. They are both extremely shy, and while they tolerate being handled do not seem to overly enjoy it. They are both looking for a patient home that can help them each come out of their shells and feel at ease. They do not have experience with children or many people. They would most likely do best in a quiet and calm home setting. Providing him with plenty of hidy spaces is also important. Both Junior and Skippy were treated with Bravecto for ear mites once they arrived at the shelter. We encourage their next owner to recheck with their vet if they do have any follow-up concerns. If you are interested in meeting Skippy and feel that you can meet his needs, please let us know!

Chena (A140484) is a 3-year-old Bloodhound x Lab mix who weighed 61.4 pounds on intake!

12/04/25 This pretty girl is Chena! Chena is a shy but friendly girl who is looking for her a new loving home. Surrendering her was very difficult decision, but they only wanted the best for Miss Chena! Chena was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and to know her basic commands. It was noted that she gets anxious on car rides. We encourage her next owner to speak with their vet or a certified trainer on ways to help build her confidence in life and in a car! She was described as a sweet and very energetic dog! Chena was said to do well with children but was known to bark at new people (especially men) until she has been able to properly greet them. Chena was also said to bark at dogs and has no experience with cats or pocket pets. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions to help set her up for success. Chena has been a bit on the nervous side and is looking for a home that can take their time with her and help her feel at ease. If you are interested in meeting Chena, please let us know!
