Mark found it in the ground by the gate, so either you set it down and forgot it, or someone found it and set it by the gate.

Sniffspot Fairchild Private Dog Park is a fully fenced 23-acre area for dogs and their owners to enjoy year round. There is approximately 7 acres of open field with butterfly habitat, and the rest is groomed wooded trails.

The only dogs within the park at your appointment time are the dogs that you book.
Because it is privately booked, it is the perfect location for owners and their dogs that may not enjoy places where there are strange dogs and people.

Besides our regular guests, we have quite a few families that meet here with their dogs to have family picnics, and lots of people/organizations that book dog gatherings, and many travelers take advantage of our close proximity to I-94 to get their dogs exercise while traveling through the area!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to all of our guests! We are very thankful for you!

We are open all weekend, even Thursday! The snow is melting, too! The weather forecast looks beautiful.

Fall is in the air!

Sometime in the next few weeks, we'll be mowing the field down for the fall! That will be a wide open flat area for the rest of the year. I experimented with leaving the long areas over the winter the last 2 years, but didn't see an increase in blackberries, just that a lot of our wild flowers getting choked out. So this fall we'll mow, and to 1 good mow in the spring to keep the weeds down, and hopefully some of the thousands of black eyed Susan, butterfly bush, and milkweed will flourish for our butterfly and pollinator friends! It's an ever changing string of experiments!

Next spring I plan to add shade loving flowers to the new parking area, and will plant some hardy perennials in the field areas in hopes that they can spread.

The new Sniffspot entrance is in!

When you pull into the Sniffspot driveway, before you reach the semi trailers, turn right into the wooded clearing.

There's two new gates there. You can either park outside the gate and walk in through the man gate, or you can pull straight into the trail through the tractor gate and close the gate behind you. You have to then back straight out of that gate, because there isn't anywhere to turn around yet.

But, this new parking area is almost always shaded, and it keep our dogs MUCH quieter!

There's an orange water cooler hanging down there with clean water that you can fill your own dog bowl with, and an ez up tent in case it is drizzling, too.

We have also placed a large trash bin down there for your p**p bags.

New amenities added to Sniffspot Fairchild this spring!

Spring is in the air! Weekends are booking up with the nicer weather finally returning!

I want to put in a native wildflower area for bee and butterfly habitat this spring. Sort of in the middle of the field is where the milkweed naturally grows, so I think we'll prep an area and temporarily fence it off later this month to get the seeds sown.

A private entrance is still in the works. We need to grade and gravel the area. It might not get fenced in yet this year, but you would be entering the park down by the semi trailers, and going directly into the woods. That should make coming/going easier, and keep my dogs out in the kennel quieter!

ALSO I am toying with the idea of renting an excavator and building a pond! I have really wanted a place to swim my dogs since I bought the property!

We do have a Porta potty someone is giving us, when it comes is entirely up to them, but we'll be putting that down by the planned new entrance. Hopefully they bring it out relatively soon!
