Two weeks ago, HART received an urgent and heartbreaking call about a cat in dire need. 😿 Found in a feral cat colony in Front Royal, this poor boy was barely clinging to life. His frail body was covered in painful scabs, his eyes were sealed shut, and he could barely move. A few weeks ago, we got a call from a shelter: Could HART take a senior blind golden retriever? The dog was found wandering a back road in Appalachia and was in very rough shape. The animal control officer assumed the dog was dumped by his “person.” They had no idea how long he had been on his own. Sadie is one of the amazing dogs saved by @Kabul Small Animal Rescue and traveled all the way from Afghanistan to find her forever home! She’s been flourishing with her foster family and they’re shocked she hasn’t been adopted yet and they say she’s “so adoptable!” Sadie is one year’s old, about 40 lbs., fantastic with other dogs (she’s submissive), great with kids, crate trained, friendly, does great in the car, walks well on the leash, knows basic commands, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and really the list can go on! She’s a fun puppy that loves life, loves to play, a cuddle bug, and would be best friends with any other sister/brother-dog siblings!
