Looking for a loving home!

Alex is a 12 year old neutered male Chihuahua that came to us after his elderly owner passed away recently. He is up to date on vaccines and just had a dental done on Thursday. Despite not having many teeth left, he is a great eater!

Alex was the companion to his owner for the last 12 years and is used to someone being around for the majority of the day. He is fine with cats and other small dogs and has not shown any aggression since being in our care. Alex is currently low maintenance for an older dog and doesn't have any major health concerns. He would love to find his new person to shower in affection.

Miss Cora the little lady has left the building. She was adopted by the 1st family that showed interest in her (and there were a lot of people interested)!!! We wish her the best life with her new family!!!

AVAILABLE SOON!!!
Meet Cora! She is currently about 4 months old and scheduled to be spayed this week. Once that is done, she can go to her forever home!

Her story:
Cora was found wandering around outside our office manager's house at just 8 weeks old. She was incredibly skinny and had a terrible upper respiratory infection as well as wounds on her face and neck. She was brought in and treated for her URI and wounds and ate like a piglet from day 1. She has never protested a thing that had to be done to her and takes everything in stride. All she wants to do is give head bumps and get cuddles.

Her respiratory infection cleared up quickly, but the wounds on her neck and head didn't seem to be progressing as they should...we quickly found out why.... she had several cuterebra (fly larve) in her wounds ​😝. They were successfully removed and her wounds are almost completely healed now.

Now that she is feeling better, she is turning into a regular kitten who wants to play 24/7. She isn't afraid of dogs and would love another young cat/kitten or cat-friendly dog to play with.

STEVE & ASHER

Steve (orange and white) and Asher (grey and white) are very playful and active kitties. They enjoy chasing the laser pointer and wand toys, but their favorite game seems to be playing “king of the cat tree”. Steve has fun chasing little balls around the room and Asher enjoys hunting his mouse toy and proudly carries it around.

Asher and Steve have been mama’s boys from the beginning. It’s no surprise, considering that she and her boys were dumped outside to fend for themselves. They are shy with strangers but come out of their shell with people they learn to love and trust. They are sweet and affectionate little guys.

When they’re not with mama Dolly, they are usually window watching, playing together, or sleeping cuddled together. They would be best adopted together (or with mama) into a home without young children. They have been good with other cats (mom and siblings). They live in a foster home with a dog, but mama Dolly has been too protective to let them meet.

Asher and Steve were born on or around March 19 and have been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Steve & Asher’s adoption fee is $150 each.

For adoption with Loudoun County Humane Society and being fostered by one of our veterinary assistants:

"Dolly Pawton" was a teenage mom and is only around a year old herself! She can’t get enough human attention and is always available for pets and lap cuddles. She’ll even ask for belly rubs! She is a big purr machine.

This sweet girl is the most patient mama and is always listening out for her babies. She’ll leave her sunny nap spot in order to investigate if her boys are being too rowdy and playing a little too rough.

Mama Dolly likes to play with her kitty wand toy as well as chase her boys around the cat tree. Her favorite activity is sitting by the windowsill and observing the world around her.

Dolly is adjusted to a harness and loves riding in her car basket. She is good with kids, but has been protective of her babies around other cats and dogs. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Dolly’s adoption fee is $150

Kittens for Adoption!
Everest: male lighter tabby ~11 weeks old
Sweet Pea: female darker tabby ~11 weeks old
These 2 sweet babies are looking for a forever home together!
They have been hand-reared by one of our veterinary assistants since they were about 5 weeks old and found under a shed.

Sweet Pea was the runt and only girl of the litter and quickly showed us that she is the princess and bosses around her big brothers. She loves to climb everything and practice her hunting skills (sneaking up on her brothers).

Everest is the leader of the litter and is always the first to do everything and explore. He likes b***y pats and has the loudest purr.

Both are playful, affectionate, and litter box trained. They grew up with and like to play with dogs who are gentle. They are a bonded pair and therefore need to be adopted out together.

They are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines (2 FVRCPs) and dewormings, but will require a commitment by their new owner to finish their vaccine series and to spay/neuter.

For Adoption! Meet Holly! Holly is a 3-4 year old, DSH spayed female. She has the cutest white belly and paws! Holly is very shy and will need a patient owner to help bring her out of her shell. She loves wet food, and likes to be loved on while she eats. She grumble talks to you when you pet her, but she's not upset, that's just how she communicates. She adores being brushed, and chin rubs.
