There have been several articles circulating recently about the cat food recalls due to avian flu risks-

As a general rule, we strongly recommend against using raw diets as they can present a multitude of health risks/complications, ranging from parasite contraction to systemic disease.

Some reputable pet food brands we recommend are Purina, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin, Merrick Pet Foods, and IAMS.

If you have questions or concerns about your pet's diet, please feel free to schedule a consult with one of our veterinarians! We are prepared to help guide your pet's nutritional journey in every stage of life.

A Portland-based pet food company issued a nationwide voluntary recall after a house cat in Oregon died from eating one of its products, which tested positive for bird flu.

The holidays can be a busy season for all! Some reminders as we gear up for Christmas:

1. Check all medications/prescription diets and submit refill requests ahead of time. Please note that processing time may be extended as we work to fulfill all requests.

2. Schedule routine appointments for January now as there is often an increase in demand right after the holidays.

3. Be mindful of pets and holiday decorations and food! If you are unsure about something your pet has ingested, call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.

4. Have fun and enjoy the season with your four-legged friends!
