This poor 9-year old girl recently arrived at the shelter. She has been declawed and was surrendered by her owner. She is confused and scared out of her mind and not adjusting to shelter life at all. Poor girl!

If you or anyone you know is looking for a senior cat, especially if there is an older person looking for a cat, please send us a message! We hope to help rescue this poor girl.

Please note that the lounge will be closed the week of 6-10 January.

Two times a year, first week of school after FCPS winter break and FCPS summer break, before the GMU students return, we deep clean the lounge. We steam, clean, and wash everything, from the front door to the sink in the far back.

We will re-open on Saturday, 11 January. We look forward to seeing you, your family, and your friends!

If it is an hour before closing, and we do not have any appointments, the staff will start closing procedures.
Once we start those, we will no longer take walk-ins.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the Cat Lounge is so delightful!

Come cuddle our cats and kittens! Were open until 6 pm today and tomorrow which also looks like another wet day.

Pictured here is Gomorrah who needed a lion cut, so she’s feeling a bit chilly without her fur! She is a 2 year old single lady who would love a home of her own.

Look at sweet Han in another TikTok! Han is such a sweet boy. He came to us from Kuwait and all his buddies have been adopted. He was pretty sad and Cleo, our gorgeous calico, would comfort him and play with him. She follows him everywhere and she is the only one who accepts to play with him. We can't believe that they have not been adopted yet! You can meet these two awesome cats by visiting us. We are open today from 12 to 6 PM and you can reserve your ticket on line. As always; remember to wear your socks!

Unlike the little ones that keep jumping out all the time. So don’t disappoint our little buddies! Come on over for a visit. Be sure to bring your socks!

Our Mission

Our main focus is to have as many cats and kittens as possible adopted by loving families. We can’t think of a better way to showcase our residents’ personalities than our cage free lounge where you can visit and play with your future BFK (Best Friend Kitty)!

Being so close to George Mason University gives us the opportunity to be a place where students can come and spend some time relaxing with our cats.

Even though we are a for-profit company, our goal is not to make money. When a cat is adopted, the full amount of the adoption fee remains with the rescue. We charge an entry fee to cover our operating expenses.

We are not allowed to serve food due to health department regulations, however, you are welcome to bring in food and drinks purchased at University Mall on the day of your visit. Just bring your receipt!
