Sarah is a beautiful Red nose. estimated to be around 5. very sweet and cuddly. A giant love bug! hasn't been tested around other animals, does great with kids and adults. stop by and meet her today!

Sylva is now available too. very shy,scared and timid. definitely needs someone to take time with her and give her a chance. very calm and loving. the shelter is no place for her. shes around 3-4 years old, does good with kids and adults. has not been tested with other dogs and cats. come meet her today !

We have named this boy Petri. He has had a rough start. He's roughly around a year old. very timid but just the sweetest boy ever. we were told he is a boxer mix and he doesn't do well with cats, does great with kids, and other dogs though! stop by and meet him today

With the winter weather coming bringing highs in the 30s and lows in the teens—it’s critical to ensure your pets are safe and protected from the frigid weather.
BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE:
The best way to keep your pets safe during extreme cold is to bring them indoors. Some dog breeds, such as Huskies, are better equipped for cold weather due to their thick coats. However, dogs with thinner coats (like Pit mixes), puppies, elderly pets, and those that are sick are especially vulnerable to freezing temperatures and need additional protection.
PROVIDE SHELTER:
If your pet must stay outdoors, ensure they have access to an insulated doghouse, garage, or shed to keep warm. Temperatures below 45°F can become dangerous for pets used to milder climates, so make sure the shelter is easy to access—even if you’re not home when temperatures drop.
INSULATE THE SHELTER:
Plastic or wooden doghouses alone won’t provide enough warmth without insulation. Use straw bedding (not hay) to insulate outdoor shelters. Pack the straw tightly along the sides and back, creating a warm space where your dog can burrow in for extra warmth. Bales of straw can be purchased at local feed stores!
