A little snow will not stop the morning play session with her tennis ball! If only RYLEE would show this side of herself at adoption events.

Rylee and Rocky playing
It's Rylee checking in again. I'm the brown and white female pit mix in the video below. I'm between 1-2 years young. I'm learning to play with other dogs but as you can see I'm a little rough. I do best when paired with a male dog that is submissive (and smaller than me) but is willing to keep up with my crazy antics. I enjoying being the boss when playing. I'm not a dog park dog - that is too over stimulating for me. I would do best if I was the only dog or paired with a male dog that is slightly smaller than me (no little fluff dogs though - I kind of think they are stuffed toys) that would be submissive to me. Today was a big day for me! I had a dog meet and greet with one of my foster siblings....and I did great! Even though I can co-exist with some male dogs I would prefer to be the only dog in the house. The truth is my previous people were not kind to me and I don't trust other dogs, especially high energy dogs! I do like my foster brother that happens to be a beagle only because he is 14 years old and I don't feel threatened by him. Even when I give him a little nudge, he doesn't react so I remember that I am safe now. I do need to test the water and nudge him often to make sure he doesn't react. I will probably never feel safe enough to go to a dog park but I'm content just hanging in my house with my humans. Other dogs in the house are a little over rated if you ask me. I do love the children in the house but I do get a little rough with them. I just get overwhelmed because everyone is so nice to me and I don't know what to do next. I listen best to my foster Daddy. When he says no I stop whatever I am doing and check in with him. I understand that I am not the boss of the house. I try to be the boss but he reminds me that I am not. Willow (the white dog) is a young girl around 9 months old. She is very playful with other dogs. She is great with kids and leaves the senior dogs in the house alone. She is very eager to please and already knows the sit command. She would be a great addition to a family.
Are you looking for a fluffy ball of energy that is great with other dogs? If so please consider Charlie.
If you are looking for a friendly high energy dog please meet Cody. Cody LOVES to run and play with other dogs. Cody is the brindle pit mix in the video. He is about 11 months old. He is currently paired with a submissive female in this video. Cody would do best paired with a submissive dog. He lives with other dogs that are not as submissive as the brown dog in the video and can be free roaming with them. However, Cody never seems to tire of running around and playing and when a dominant dog tries to tell him to back off, Cody doesnβt quite get the message. While he is not challenging the other dog, a really dominant dog can quickly tire of his antics.
Rocko is SUPER nice and playful, just a big ole goofball!!!! Within 5 minutes he had us all cracking up with his silly antics...this guy has big personality!!!! Rocko is completely deaf, and it doesn't affect him...he doesn't freak out about anything approaching him or anything, he was probably born this way. He will just need to be trained using hand signals and he will have to see his person to know what to do. But he is smart, and very affectionate, he will make someone very happy ;)
Suzie is a young (still under a year old) female whippet/pit bull mix. As you can see from this video, she LOVES to snuggle up and get close and she believes that she is a tiny lap dog. She will hop right up in your lap and stay there all day if you'll let her. Suzie is up for adoption at the Trenton Animal Shelter. To learn more about Suzie or any of the other wonderful pups currently available for adoption at the shelter, please visit: www.tas.petfinder.com where you can fill out an online screening form to adopt!!
