🌟 Sun Dog Boutique is OPEN today, 11-5! 🌟
The lot is cleared, so bring your pup and come shop! 💖

These last couple weeks have been tough with all the added stressors of the weather, which is never easy when trying to keep a small business running. It’s been hard to close the shop for snow days, especially this early, but I’m committed to pushing forward.

I started Sun Dog Boutique with nothing but pure grit and everything I had. As with any new business, the challenges have been real—financial funding, spreading the word, and, honestly, just managing everything as a one person operation. But I’m here, still going, and I’m excited about what’s to come!

🐾 What’s Next? 🐾
I’ve got some exciting events and adoption days lined up soon, and I’m working on expanding our retail selection. We’ll have raw food, toys, and tons of other new goodies in soon enough. Plus, a couple of Valentine’s Day events are in the works!

That said, the reality is that I’ve had some funding fall through these last couple weeks—money I was depending on—and with no nest egg to fall back on, I’m scrambling to make ends meet this month. But I haven’t given up. I applied for three grants in December and am waiting to hear back on two of them.

All that to say, if you can’t shop right now, there are still plenty of ways to support! Please like, share, and comment on posts and stories. Word of mouth means everything. And if you have product or workshop ideas, I’d love to hear them.

This 6-week course is designed for pups under 6 months old and focuses on foundational skills like socialization, sit, stay, and more. A small class size ensures that both you and your pup get plenty of individual attention, allowing us to work together on the curriculum and answer any questions you may have. Let’s build a happier, more harmonious relationship with your puppy and for the love of dog-enjoy the process together.

To sign up, simply send me your email address, and I’ll send over the pre-class questionnaire. Once filled out, send it back with your payment ($210 plus tax) and pup’s vaccine records and you’ll be all set!

‼️WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

🎉🎉 RH(International Search and Rescue Sport) Workshop with Stanley Craddock🎉🎉

I will be hosting an RH Workshop May 23rd to 25th at our facility Country Roads Canine Activities in Grafton, WV. Please see the flyer for details. Feel free to PM me for more info and to sign up.

Workshop Ouline:
- Friday: arrive by 3 PM, conduct an overview presentation of the RH rules and description of the V (beginner) and A (intermediate) nosework exercises and the obedience and dexterity phase.

- Saturday: focus on teaching obedience and dexterity exercises in a round-robin participation style. This group-work tends to be essential for dogs and handlers to become "somewhat" comfortable with many dogs simultaneously being in the training space. SAFETY is #1 for both dogs and handlers. We may introduce or demo indication options depending on how the dogs and handlers are doing physically and mentally.

- Sunday: practice the various nosework disciplines that participants would like to do with their dogs. Explain, demo, and problem solve.
